He played great and he seems to have a better comfort level coming off the bench

He made a move and a shot I've never seen him make before. Maybe fighting for playing time will help him up his game.

D. J. deserves it! He came up big at a time when we needed him the most, with Spangler on the bench in foul trouble and Lattin not having a good day. This was the kind of game I expected from him all year. If he continues to play this well, he'll be a huge asset in the games ahead.

Good post Bigtime. I was impressed as heck with DJ's minutes today. Tough defensive rebounds and altered a couple of shots. I was a big Lattin guy over DJ before this tournament, but those two are going in opposite directions. Great to see DJ improving. I think Khadeem has a tremendous future here, but he's losing confidence quick and has been doing a lot of pouting. He's a good kid, just needs some success in some games. Had some earlier, but the competition at this Atlantis tournament has been night and day different than the previous games, obviously.

He had a nice post move he went to confidently in the low post. A little turn around push shot thing that he nailed. He looked comfortable out there.

Not only did he have that nice offensive move but as mentioned above he looked very confident out there today and was a noticeable defensive presence at the rim. Hope we get more of that the rest of the way!

He has had a very good tournament (for him) so far. If we get this kind of play from him and what Lattin was doing prior to this tournament, we will be in fantastic shape inside.

Just goes to show how clueless some people are. Quick to make a comment like that after 4 games or so. I always thought DJ was pretty good last year.

That poster was hellbent on calling him a wasted scholarship and wanted it to be true. That poster hasn't supported Kruger one iota since he has been our coach.
