Prospect Watch: J'Mychal Reese

So we can send hoops recruits to the OU/TX football game?? I had never heard of that before.

Correct me if I am wrong but OU-Texas is a home game this year for us, so I think that could be a reason for why.

Good update Mr. Jennings!

Who should OU go after, a true pg like reese or a combo guard like Nino Jackson?

I don't know if it's correct, but juniors cannot make official visits. In this case, Reese's visit would be unofficial. So my assumption is he would be a guest of the OU basketball program, which basically means that he would get allowance into the game.

Combo Guard!! I love guards that play multiple positions...it gives you flexibility..

We already have 2 true PG in blair and newell....taylor will be able to relieve them as well...

For the SG and SF next year we only have: 1)taylor 2) clark 3) pledger 4) Oklahoma Kid

That leaves unly two coming off the bench...and if one gets in trouble or is not hustling you cant bench them because we need the two subs

Does the Oklahoma kid want us? I'd rather have guys that want to be at Oklahoma than kids that from Oklahoma that don't know if they want to be here or somewhere else. I don't know which category Jackson or Reese fall in, but if they both fall in the want to be at Oklahoma Category, I'm fine with that. Probably enough room for both.

I think they mean Tyler Neal when they say Oklahoma Kid

I think I read somewhere. Nino is down to OU and KU... I like Nino myself, I watched him play Bishop McG in OKC last year and with all the athletes and talent that Bishop has, they boxed and 1 him... Thats a lot of respect in my eyes.
I think if we end up with Nino then it may be because KU backs off of him.

Nino's gonna be tough. But it looks like they're bringing in alot of guys so if they do miss on Nino, Hornbeak or Reese is not really a step down. Also, LJ Rose if very high on Kansas. How does that play out with Nino if they sign him or another guy who plays the same position as Nino?

As for Reese, I found a youtube clip and he reminds me of Ray Ray McCallum.

Thats what I was implying. If KU goes and gets someone that replaces Nino on their roster. I think we have a really good shot at him. KU likes making folks wait that are not top 20 in the country.

I believe KU is also involved with Marcus Paige (another top 50 PG from Iowa in 2012), I bet they will only take one between him and Nino.

KU would like to keep the Oklahoma pipeline open more than anything.
