He came off the bench with 10 points, 3 rebs and 2 steals in only 14 minutes. He also took quality shots, making 4 of 6 from the field and 2 for 2 from the free throw line. On a day when he could easily have sulked, he was huge in our win today.

And let's remember he is still just a sophomore. We all know he has the talent and have seen the glimpses of what he can be. Lets not get down on him with 2 1/2 years left to play. Good game out of Cam today!

I wasn't able to watch the game because it was blacked out on ESPN3 for some reason. Did Blair play as bad as his shooting statistics indicated? Looked like Cam actually played really well for the first game in a while, but was on the betch during basically the entire 2nd half.

Blair's stats don't tell the whole story. He didn't shoot well, but he made good plays and he was really solid on defense. He had 3 rebs, 5 assists, 3 steals, and he had no turnovers. Yes, I did say ZERO turnovers. Despite his poor shooting, he had a very nice game.

Agreed. You can see him becoming a leader right in front of us......:clap:clap

Good games by both Clark and Blair.

Clark is still terrified to drive for some reason though.
He won't be a real offensive threat until he overcomes that.

Cam's high-bounce dribble is subject to turnovers in traffic. When he improves his handles he won't be afraid anymore.

He's got all of the tools athletically. He just needs to work on his ball handling and develop a consistent jump shot to be a great player.

I've posted it several times, but I'l say again that I felt that Cam was poised for a very nice game against oswho before he was whistled for his third foul in the first half. That seemed to take him out of his game (three quick fouls, at least one of which was a bogus call, will do that to a young player). But I was hopeful after that game that Cam was on his way back.

Today's game was a step in the right direction, for sure, and I'm proud of him for handling his "benching" with maturity.

Anybody close to the program know if the staff is, or has, tried to change Cam's shot? I don't remember him "loading up" as much as it appears he is doing this year. I hate to make this comment after a win, and good game by Cam, but with those mechanics, I don't think Cam will ever be consistent shooting the ball. Too many moving parts, and too long.

Nice game from him today though!

This exactly. There were games in the non-con that Clark displayed vast improvement in ball handling over last year and I think if he continues working on that area we will see a noticeable jump in production for him next year. His crossover looks great at times and if he can really tighten his handles up and maintain control, I think we will see him penetrate more often and really utilize his athleticism.

Another great move. As we know with this team nothing is set in stone and making those small moves make the players more comfortable and even give them the confidence needed to get back on the court and play even better....

Blair has certainly earned his right to start and Krugers move showed up well with the start Blair had to begin the game. I have been impressed the last 4-6 games the pressure, steals and deflected balls by Blair up top on D, especially without fouling.

Cam did a great job and showed alot more energy coming off the bench than I have seen from him in a while. I also thought this was the first game in a long stretch where he hasn't forced things- like forcing to take his man off the dribble.

What I thought Cam did well today was he did not try to shoot off the dribble and he didn't over dribble when he had the ball.

Cam just has to be a high energy guy. Offensively he's not going to be a one on one type scorer, but he has to be high energy on defense and be active off the ball offensively.

He also had a couple of plays that should have been steals but for lucky bounces and/or forced the KCU into situations where someone else got the steal. I thought he played a really good game. I was actually surprised his shooting percentage was as low as it was because I don't recall thinking he was hurting the team.
