I just read on OUinsider that Sandusky's attorney impregnated a 17 year old client when he was about 49. Unbelievable. I cannot comprehend any set of circumstances that would justify a 49 year old sleeping with a 17 year old and it is worse when you are that girls attorney. I hope the guy is disbarred for this.

Evidently he wasn't disbarred or he wouldn't be providing counsel for Sandusky.

The 49/ 17 thing is pretty creepy, but not against the law. Sleeping with a client raises major ethical questions though, unless he was sleeping with her before the lawyer-client relationship began.

Unless I'm mistaken sleeping with a 17 year old is statutory rape, because she was under 18 at the time. So basically that is against the law.

From what I've read is she was a client of his @ 16 or 17. They actually married and had another child though the story I read said they are currently separated. The real interesting thing about the story I read is that they had a picture from a Second Mile event that has the attorney and wife; also in the picture is Gary Schultz, which is one of the admins facing perjury charges. That entire charity orginazation needs a hard look IMO.

Yep..... I actually have a family currently on my caseload, where the husband is 57 and his wife is 18. They have 3 kids, and the oldest is 4, which means he started in on the girl when she was no older than 14. As of today we can do nothing because she is over 16, which is the age of consent in Okla. We probably will substantiate abuse though because he is beating the crap out of the kids......:facepalm:facepalm

The girl is totally terrified of him. Every time I have been to the house, he does all of the talking, and she just sits there. I went to her job, and she was like a new person, hair fixed, make-up on, and very outgoing. I also noticed a co-worker who looked about 21-25 paying her alot of attention, so the old perv may be about to have his trophy taken from him.

She admitted to me that she washes off the make-up before going home, and she admitted her unemployed husband is mean to them, but she would not admit that he hits her or the kids. If I believed her, her kids would be the clumsiest kids in the world...... :facepalm

jmizzy, I'm glad there are dedicated people like you out there, but no amount of money could persuade me to do your job. I'm afraid that I would get too involved personally, and let it eat on me until I couldn't sleep at night.

I agree. I would be too inclined to respond like BOB even though I know that is wrong. Don't take this wrong, I don't think I would actually assualt someone but I would want to.
