Putnam City Invitational on Z PREPS

I will not be calling any games this weekend at the PCI as my coaching duties will be taking me to Lindsay High School this weekend. However ouhoops.com's own Sam Duren will be providing some analysis during pre-game, half time and post game this weekend for Z Preps. Be sure and check out his write-ups on the tourney on http://www.okhoops.com another great site.

This is a great tournament and if you can't catch the games live the replays of every single game in the boys bracket will be available the following day.

3:30pm- 6A #5 Midwest City vs. 6A #15 Lawton

6:30pm- 6A #12 Lawton Ike vs. 6A #8 PC West

8:00pm- 6A #7 Putnam City vs. 6A #10 PC North

Thanks and Sooner fans I know last night was not pretty but don't lose faith in Lon Kruger, he is going to get this program back to where it belongs on a consistent basis. I have no doubt. We will be back with a new episode of Total Hoops Live on Z Preps next Wednesday!

Wow John Marshall is not afraid to go mix it up with the Big Boys in 6A ball. Good for them and should serve them well in 4A play

Yeah John Marshall has a nice team this year, but they are probably a bit underrated in 4A as it is, so they will need to have a good showing in this tournament and get a quality W to earn some respect. I think some schools that vote on okrankings.com typically just check records and that's about it. A lot of it is from word of mouth too, it's definitely not an exact science.

Point being they need to avoid going 0-3 in this tournament or they might end up playing with some tough match ups early in the 4A playoffs, which could pose a problem for both teams involved if Marshall is underrated because they have played a tough schedule.

Games start today at noon at the PCI and end at 6 with the championship between Putnam City and Union. This promises to be one of the better regular season games of the year in 6A and you can watch it only on http://www.zpreps.com
