Do you guys think we get in with the win of ISU and with KSU getting destroyed by Kansas?

Actually, I hope not. Being ranked right now does not help the team at away games. I'd prefer to be ranked the following week or two after that to possibly help us get fans in the arena for some home games.

I think we're a week away ... two wins this week, or a win at KSU and a strong showing at Baylor, and we could make it in, though there were a lot of losses at the back end of the top 25. Illinois lost two and Oregon has lost three straight. Gonzaga lost again (to Portland).

If we hadn't lost to La Tech, we would be sitting close to 20. We're not that good yet though...have to learn to defend better.

This is who voted for the Sooners last week.

And the week prior.

Sooners' highest point total this season is 65 and that wasn't enough to get ranked. Will be interesting to see if the Iowa State win earned any believers.

I was really hoping k state could remain ranked with us going in there this week, but that looks to be out. As for us I'm not sure, like ranger said there have been some losses to teams towards the back end. Of course we also lost to Kansas this week. Guess we will see how much a win over a top 10 undefeated team impressed the voters.

I think that obviously if we win both this week we'll be ranked. That will be two wins against top 10 teams, one of which was on the road. Also, another road win against an RPI top 50 team. However, I'm not sure we get in with a win over KSU and a "strong showing" against Baylor. As someone else on this post indicated, that may not be a bad thing necessarily.

The win was one of the 2-3 highest profile wins of the weekend, which always plays a factor. And with Kansas destroying K-State, it minimizes that loss in the mind of voters.

Four teams ranked in 20s last week lost and should drop - Missouri, Gonzaga, Illinois & K State. And No. 17 Oregon lost two at home. Probably not a better week to get in.

Pitt and Cincy will move in as part of bigger conferences. Creighton should move in as well. Leaving St. Louis and OU.

I say chances are 75% of being ranked in a couple of hours.

Good for program - want to see Sooners return to rankings. However, wouldn't completely mind a 26th spot heading into this week with a bit of a chip on the shoulders.

However, the more you look at it, the more likely we are to be ranked. Either way, it's exciting to have the release of the polls matter again for fun.

Always good to be ranked. Need to grind out a win at KSU. See what happens at Baylor (drew can screw up a wet dream)

I think you guys that are suggesting being ranked is bad are nuts. Look at the SEC in football. Virtually every team is ranked so losses don't hurt them in the rankings. Outside of their bowl game, who did A&M beat in football? Yet they had a pretty high ranking all year.

I want to see 5, 6 or even 7 Big XII ranked it possible. I want the conference to return to where it was in the late 80s when KU, Missouri and OU were ranked 1, 2, and 3 in the polls in two or three consecutive weeks. However, I would prefer OSU or another Big XII team to take Missouri's place.

And we are in at No. 25, tied with UCLA. That surprised me a bit with the Bruins.

Great to be back in! Thank you, Coach Kruger and staff. Now beat the Wildcats. You know they want that one.
