Rape lawsuit - Kansas University

It's been a while, and I don't remember the specifics. But, I think it was 60 Minutes that did a show on U. Nebraska under Tom Osborne. An All-American had thrown his girlfriend down the stairs on one occasion. Stolen cars were involved. Beating up girlfriends and rapes were involved. When cases were referred to the Lincoln Police Department, they referred them back to Tom Osborne for punishment.

As I remember, there was no NCAA investigation. I don't remember any penalties for anyone about anything. Several All-American football players were involved, and they continued to play. All I can remember is that one was from NJ.

Oh. And, Tom Osborne was elected to Congress.

No. It's not new.

No. Its not new. Hopefully, it is getting harder and harder to get away with.

Sadly, the Bud Wilkinson Dorm was the scene of similar events back in the Barry Switzer era.

Which player was it that Dr. Tom took the gun away from and kept it in his desk drawer?

The Peter brothers, or at least one of them. My memory may be failing me, but that seems right.

http://www.motherjones.com/politics...t-case-against-university-tennessee-explained Very good article on civil case against u of Tenn-Knoxville

I would always call a rape crisis center first, if available, go to an emergency room and then call the police not the university though like I have mentioned sometimes the university will do better by you for different reasons....I know all situations are different so maybe not the best way in all instances
but it is a felony and the police should handle, doesn't mean you cannot also go to the university...of course, that is what I would advise, not like when having endured such a situation if you are a young woman or man that you know what to do, or able do it if you know
