OU ranks 3rd in the conference in defensive rebounding but dead last in offensive rebounding.

I really don't understand that because those are missed scoring opportunities.

No one other than Sharane crashes the board with a deadly, my-ball or the I'm going to club you to death if you attempt to rebound in my vicinity attitude.

Jo did last year like a demon. The twins, Abi, Leah used to do it -- and Carlee too.

Griffin has done better since around the time (I suspect) she recorded that video about her dad.

Well personally, I would gladly sacrifice a defensive rebound or two instead of defenders abandoning their posts (players) and leaving wide-open uncontested 3-pt shots, especially when often those opposing players are just burning up the nets. I'd much rather have a designated shut-down defender that stuck like glue to their opposing player regardless what the other four opponents were doing. I not saying this for every game, but when an opposing player is hot, just don't continue to leave them open (unopposed).

A team that shoots well tends to have fewer chances to rebound on offense. :)

In addition, a team that turns over the ball before getting a chance to shoot also has fewer chances to rebound on offense :(
