That is an impressive list but as Hollisp asks, are we legitimate contenders? I think I've heard we are with Obaskeki and that would be great if true. He and Alexander would make a great class I think.

Also, is it becoming a thing in college basketball for club teams like Team Griffin to be unofficial recruiting tools for universities? I would be interested to hear from some of you "in the know".

Do we have legit shots at these guys?

Depends on your definition of "legit".
If history is any indication, our "shot" at Manny is not legit.
Have we ever gotten a 5* recruit outside the state of Oklahoma?
I'll believe it when they're committed/signed.

The 4 team Griffin guys would make a pretty sweet class on paper.

Willie Warren, cam Clark, and Tiny gallon were 5*. Drew lavender was a 5*. They are quite rare but it has happened.

What a group;).
Rivals rateed Clark and Lavender as 4*.
So I guess I should restate the question as "Have we ever gotten a 5* outside of Oklahoma without paying them";)

Manny O and Colbert are legit. I think favorites to land.

I think Trey goes out of state.

Adams and collins Id love but not sure where we stand.

Manny Obaseki, the 6-foot-2 guard from Allen (TX), took an official visit to Oklahoma (Feb. 8). He broke down his visit and recruitment with ZAGSBLOG.
“The people there are so sweet and so nice. They have a great environment full of love and everybody is so cool with one another. I love the gym, as well as the dorms, and the facilities. It’s very beautiful,” said Obaseki.
He noted that Alabama, DePaul, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech are recruiting him the hardest.
Obaseki is looking to plan a visit to Texas A&M.
Obaseki claimed that the biggest factors into his choice will be, “the type of environment as well as player development to take their kids to the next level. The coaching staff relationship and the role they will have me playing will also make an impact. “
He is playing for Texas Hard Work on the UAA circuit for this upcoming spring.
According to 247sports, Obaseki is a four-star prospect, ranked No. 22 nationally and is the No. 3 combo guard.

Oklahoma has jumped out to a head start with its 2021 class, and over the weekend the Sooners became the first to host five-star guard Manny Obaseki for an official visit. Obaseki is not anywhere near his college decision, but OU is definitely in a great spot for him. Texas A&M and OU might be the early leaders, but Arkansas, Ohio State and Texas Tech are also in the mix.

Like Obaseki, Jerrell Colbert doesn’t seem to be anywhere near a commitment, but Oklahoma should be considered one of his top landing spots. The same could be said of Daimion Collins.

As for KJ Adams, I don’t love Oklahoma’s chances with the four-star forward, but the Sooners are in a good spot with Trey Alexander. Bijan Cortes was a good start for Oklahoma, but more should be expected, and I would not be surprised if a top 25 class comes together after the Early Signing Period in November.

A 4 man class of 5 stars Manny O, Colbert, 4 star Collins and cortez would be LEGIT

Personal Opinion. I think Trey doesnt.. But add him in and replace one of the forwards... Ill take that as well.
