Huge weekend

Somebody would have go to the bench, and I suspect it would be Harmon or JB. Possibly Reaves. Unless we go small ball, which I would be intrigued to see.

Harmon will play point. Thompson/Bieniemy wing.
None of these guys will play 40 minutes.
Bieniemy will also pick up minutes spelling Harmon at the point.
Some guys may not be happy with their minutes. But if guys like Reaves or Williams or Bieniemy have to give up minutes to someone like Thompson, the team will likely be pretty good.
This is a good problem to have. It's called "quality depth".
It's what good teams have.

By absolutely no means was I trying to imply I don't want Thompson. I want Thompson bad. If Reaves weren't on the team, I'd be 100% on board for Thompson, Harmon, and JB starting at 1-3. I just think JB or Harmon will go to the bench instead of Reaves. We'll see how the season goes. There's very little question that JB, DH, and AR will be good, but there is plenty to question in terms of HOW good they are.

Dick is going to be tough for any program to pry away from KU, it's the school he and his family have always loved. Obviously that doesn't guarantee anything,.and lots can change in three years, but I know how happy he was to get their offer. Either way,.great to be in the mix for so many highly rated players!

I hope with these in-state kids visiting that there's a classy way to let them know that OU leads the Bedlam series by 41 games. Too many people, including some of our own alumni, tend to believe the propaganda that OSU has a big edge on us.

Banners matter. Even if no one remembers them, they have 2 they can claim. OU may be the best program to never have won a title. Unfortunately, that isn't changing anytime soon. But if OU can keep outperforming OSU, it will go along way towards shutting those people up.

Their "titles" wasn't the real championship. The NIT was the real tournament when they claim their titles.

It would be kind of little brotherish to bring up a different school while they are on campus to visit OU.

Princeton was once a major football power, too, and for a long time. I don't think anyone touts them much anymore. And I seriously doubt the average 17-year-old cares very much about championships that happened before their grandparents were born.

If OU had won two football NCs under Wilkinson and had been decent but not great in (some of) the years since, I don't think the media would give us much credit for those two titles.

I think it could be done in a subtle manner. Just do a presentation or something that shows the series leads we have on the entire league except for the Beakers. I'm for any classy method possible to combat the propaganda that exists out there about the Sooners being inferior.
