Is this signee for 2012 a legit big presence in the middle or another project?

Sounds like he might be a project.
In the interview with Hale he says he's hardly playing this year due to depth.

I really believe peters is going to develop into a stud...seems like he has a real nice body and I like the fact that he is a lefty...if he can improve his shooting he will be very good at the college level...its a nice get for the program to have wrapped up

I would say he has more potential than fitz

He's a guy that reclassified from 2011 to 2012. Sounds like he's trying to get some seasoning.

This is from some writer on the prep scene. can't remember where or who.
Richard Peters is a 6'10 Oklahoma commit who hasn't seen much court time when I've been in attendance.

Brewster is loaded, I doubt he does. It probably would have been smarter to transfer to a school in Oklahoma and sit out a year IE Santa Fe, McGuiness,Jenks, or PCO.

That is precisely why he isn't playing much this year. He appears to be content with going up against really good players in practice, though. Said he's working hard to improve so he can play a bigger role at Brewster next season and be better prepared to contribute at OU in a couple of years. He sounds like he's already part of the team. He had a lot of positive things to say about the Sooners.

James Hale has a nice interview available for those with OUI premium access:

It's not like Brewster is your average high school team...they have Division I recruits at multiple positions every year.

That's kinda been the bug that has bitten OU. We've gotten these players who play on loaded rosters IE Neysmith at Norcross, Early at Mayo and Patterson's school in WV, and Willis at both Phillips in Orlando and Wheeler in Marietta. I think in some cases when you play with a loaded roster like that, it hurts you in developing your full potential.
