I am hardly a Kruger guy, but I think your argument may have some holes.

If he has had that many head coaching gigs, it is because he has had some successes in the past, imo.

Huh. Thats funny. I could almost swear that Kruger is 9-5 against BYU since the 05-06 season when Rose took over.

So tell me why Rose is a better coach than Kruger?

The guy has won almost 500 games...and has won almost 300 more than he has lost. He has gone to the NCAA tourney 13 times and the NIT 4 times. He has been a college coach 25 years and gone to the postseason 17 of those years. He has coached in the NBA as an assistant AND as a head coach. His record at his current job is 160-69!!! He may not be the coach you WANT....but to say he isn't good at what he does is an IGNORANT statement. I think Pastner would do a great job at OU but, right now, he couldn't hold Kruger's jock as far as experience.

Dave Rose doesn't have another Jimmer Fredette he would be bringing with him to OU and I would question if he can recruit the talent needed to win or be able to coach up the talent he can recruit to be successful in this conference.

Kind of like Barry Collier at Nebraska and Greg McDermott at Iowa State. Both were hired from the mid-major level colleges where both were successful. They get to Nebraska and ISU (respectively) and both continued to recruit like they were at a mid-major. Neither could make the move to recruiting the level of talent and neither could coach up the talent they had to win games night-in and night-out and both failed.
