Is Drew the biggest combination of worst coach and best recruiter ever born?

BU has athletes everywhere and don't play with any disciple or any concept of offense.

Why would any kid want to go there - and, he is getting the No. 4 player in the country. Unbelievable

But but he's a christian and don't all christians what to go to Baylor?

Maybe he is a hypnotist......

Shh...don't let brgch1350 see your comments about drew. He thinks drew is the best coach in the big 12.

I think this year shows yet again how important it is to have a PG that values the basketball. Walton and Love aren't the answer right now imo.

baylor alums could make cam newtons price tag look tiny

Drew hasn't done a good job with this group getting them to play hard. To his defense, I've been to a few practices and went on the road with the team to TT. Sat in on the scouting meetings and I thought the Baylor coaches had a great game plan. Sometimes it comes down to whether 18-22 olds can execute a plan.

Some years the chemistry is bad and some years you find the magic. I've enjoyed watching the Sooners this year. I think Capel has done a terrific job. Blair and Clark have improved so much.

Baylor deserves criticism for playing with a lack of toughness. But like BigTime said, when your PG plays sucks it is hard to win games. Baylor was blessed with good PG play for a few years with Jerrells and Carter.

Walton does some good things but he is a 3rd guard. They are hoping that Franklin (Cal transfer) or Heslip (BC) provide higher basketball IQ next year.

Great win today- congrats Sooners. Look forward to reading the greatness of Cheno as he piles on Drew. Self will have a disaster one of these years...

Beat the Horns and I will love the Sooners forever.

I am more convinced than ever that he is out of his league in the coaching realm. No doubt a great recruiter which has kept him in the league. I was within 10 feet of the teams and BU looked like an NBA team. More size and athletic ability at every position except maybe Cam. No way in the world we should be able to out rebound them. That tells me he isn't getting thru to them on the basics of winning basketball. That goes with their lack of team defense.

When do the "cant win without Udoh and or Tweety threads" start on Baylor boards.

You would say the same about Izzo I would guess. They lost by 20 to a terrible Iowa team. Michigan State has a bunch of highly touted recruits. Sometimes your team isn't that good no matter how they look on paper. OU fans of all fans should get that. Drew is not in over his head. As disappointing as this year has been to me, Drew will probably record his 4th 20 win season in a row.

Whoa!!!!! Did you just compare Drew to Izzo????

You guys are slipping. I get you focused on the Izzo comment and slip the 20 win comment by you. This Baylor team ain't winning 20 games unless Perry Jones decides he wants to prove something- on both ends.

LOL. Izzo has won a national title. Ridiculous.

Drew and Baylor remind me of SMU football rigth before they got the death penalty. Only difference is that team was dominant with all their talent. Drew just HAS ridiculous talent. He hasn't done anything with it.

You can analyze and compare to try to justify why they consistently under achieve but it just takes the 'two eye' test to see that he has assembled an incredible looking group with excellent credentials and they play like a rec team. I would have pulled my hair out or at least used my bench as a motivating tool to get the effort needed to rebound and defend.
