Scout - Buddy 2012

Just shows Scout is pretty useless.

Rivals had him as a 4 star, #86 in the country.

He was a rivals 4 star and a top 100 overall player. He was pretty highly recruited. Why are there so many people wanting OU to only recruit 2 and 3 star recruits? You guys do realize that 2 star recruits who turn out to be great players are the exception not the rule. Kentucky doesn't recruit 2 star recruits.

I would rather have a 3 star Woodard over a 5 star tmg. That's why there is more to it than stars

Who was in Scout's Top 10 that year? Ill wager that it included some pretty good ball players.

it's all a crap shoot. the higher the stars the better the odds they will be good.

This is definitely true. And there are some skills/capabilities that you can't rank with a star ... intelligence, work ethic, desire, ability to get stronger/gain muscle, etc.

Name one "people wanting OU to only recruit 2 and 3 star recruits"

Speaking of stars, did you guys know Baker at WSU was originally a walk on? I wish OU could get lucky like that.

Buddy's differentiator in my mind is his size + quickness. At 6'4", 215 with long arms and the quickness to stay in front of people, he can hang in the NBA with his jump shot.

if kruger is the coach I'm not so sure ..

If Kruger is the Coach, TMG prolly doesn't come to OU. Kruger would be way to demanding of him and he would never commit, or if he did he would leave like Calvin Newell

The potential is there with Bola Alade. He looked really, really good at practice on Monday, as he made some highlight reel offensive plays against the 1st team.

He certainly has the athleticism and size (6'4") to develop into a fine guard. I had not been to practice in a quite a while. Bola looked like he has improved a lot.

Another Isaiah Cousins in the making? Does Bola have that kind of determination to get better? This will be an interesting story to watch over the coming years.
