If you don't mind, can you please give us your opinion of the top 3 or 4 players in Texas in the 2017 and 2018 classes and why you think they are "can't miss" players at the next level. Thanks!
If it were me and i had the perfect world i would want this combination of players from Texas.
Pg: Alexis Morris (2017).....in the beginning she really didn't understand how to play pg but now she is doing an unbelievable job. She can't shoot as good as Patterson but she plays defense like no other. Morris can score, she just does it differently. She once put up 53 and did it as a freshman.
Sg: Didi Richards (2017)......this kid might be the most complete basketball player in the class. Her issue is she has to learn to be more selfish. She passes up a lot of shots but still averages over 22 points a game. She's a good defensive player and is a true 6'2"
Sf: Lexi Gordon (2017)...... May be the best pure shooter in the country for the 2017 class. Some would argue to move Morris to the 2 and Richards to the 3 while putting Patterson art the 1 but i like Gordon because she is 5'11" and can shoot just as good if not better. There are 2 sides of the ball and she plays both sides.
Pf: Cate Reese (2018)...... Really versatile and can play the stretch 4. She's 6'3" and a pretty good rebounder. She uses her length really well and has a really high IQ. Has a very high motor and would compliment the others well
C: Sedona Prince (2018)..... At 6'7" she can step out and knock down a 15 footer but she understands how to protect the rim. She also is a good back to the basket player. Plays defense really well.
Sixth man: Kayla Owens (2017)......she's a very athletic versatile kid who you can play 2, 3, or the 4. At 6'1" she can grab the rim with 2 hands and can shoot the 3 with consistency.
Charlie Collier (2018)......very skilled kid but she wants to play the 3 when she's really a 5. She has the skill of a 3 but my rule of thumb is if you can't play defense on that position then you can't play that position. She is entirely to slow to play the 3 or the 4. She is tough at the 5 spot though.
Jade Williams (2017)...... She is a stretch 4 who can rebound really good. She runs the floor well and if you want to play small you can with her.
