Iowa State and Baylor, both 3 seeds knocked out in first round in men's NCAA's today.

It was supposed to be one of the toughest conferences too.

Let's hope it isn't catching.

On Edit: Apparently we can add TexASS to the list.

Big 12 0-3.

Please, Lord, don't let this happen to the girls.

The Big XII was good because it was balanced, not because it had numerous NC contenders. ISU played uninspired basketball. Baylor played stupid basketball. Texas played Texas basketball.

+1. This. I don't like it when people say "The Big 12 sucks" based on some early exits. That's a ridiculous notion. You play one game (or more, if you're lucky) as opposed to 18 throughout the conference season.

All I know is on my men's bracket, the only games I missed were Baylor, ISU and Texas. DOH! And I had Baylor and ISU going to sweet 16. Double DOH!

My bracket was decimated. I'm at 12.5% among brackets submitted. I picked a number of upsets, just not the ones that happened.

First time the Big 12 has gone 0-3 in the first round ever. Baylor's and ISU's losses were just hard to fathom, very poor performance from both teams.

ISU is getting roughed up by Dayton, trailing 43-60 with 11:12 to play.

ISU is unusually average this year, which is an aberration from their annual excellence.

BTW, the so-called "whip around" coverage by ESPN is a total joke. They've stuck all game with 4 Duke against 13 Albany, without a peek-in at any other game. Rather than cut in to other games at halftime, they gave us Barak-etology for the 4 zillionth time.

ISU is rallying, now down by just 12 with 9:34 to play.

The Twister Sisters are now down by just 7...

13-seed Albany is leading 4-seed Duke by one with 3:56 left...

ISU is about to lose to Dayton. You know that old saying, "live by the 3, die by the 3".

ISU is 7-28 on threes today.

Albany up by 2 over Duke with under a minute left.

Unbelievable.

After sticking with Duke-Albany for the entire game, they cut away with Albany leading with just over 30 seconds left.

They are now back at that game after Arkansas upset Northwestern. It's still a 2 point game.

Duke barely survives the scare, 54-52. Albany barely missed a three that would have won the game.

Albany over Duke would have been remarkable. But, I would not have been surprised. Washington came back, but lost it at the end.
