Many of Butler's problems today were due to stellar defense from the Sooners. I hope this is the kind of game and effort that they really build on. nice job!!

Yes, Lon has the kids playing really good defense so far. Defense is all about "want to," and it seems this group knows if they want to reach their potential, they are going to have to play hard on both ends of the court.

100% agree. That's the best defense I've seen an OU team play in quite a while. We looked quick and cut them off almost every time they tried to penetrate. Loved it.

OUr defense is going to take us a long way. You can see this team starting to play together a little more each game. I think that Creighton game was a wake-up call for them and realized they need to play a full 40 min. The bench did really well today and Walker is a very good addition to this team. I'm impressed with him. Overall, this team is definitely working to get better each game.

After witnessing us struggle defensively for much of last year, I have to admit I had a smile on my face for most of this game. Gritty win against a good defensive team, and boy did we make them work on offense. Outstanding job by Lon and the guys. Play with a nothing to lose attitude against one of the best teams in the country tomorrow, and maybe we can come back to the mainland with a nice trophy!
