What do the softball payers do in the summer? Do they play in summer leagues? I assume the commits play in summer leagues. Do we know anything about anybody's performances? What's happening in softball?

The NCAA does not allow softball players to play on any team during the summer. There are no leagues for them. They can't even play on city or church league teams. They can play on US teams like the US National Team if they can make the roster. I don't know about signees, but I would guess that they couldn't play if they were enrolled in summer school.
Someone suggested that this was the tradeoff for allowing them to play games in the fall semester. I don't know if that is true. It seems to me that legally something could be done since men do have summer college leagues.
This information was given to me by a NCAA Division 2 player, but I believe it applies to Division 1 as well.

Signees can play on a summer league team because I met a team at the airport last weekend. Two of our signees were on it plus some of our commits.

So, does anyone know if most stay in Norman and go to summer school and work-out together and practice? It would seem if they did not go to summer school that they would probably not graduate in four years.

I'm not sure what they do during the summer. I think that a lot of them go home. Most of them don't graduate in four years. Of last season's seniors only two graduated and it was the same for the seniors on the national championship team.
