Did anyone else notice that they updated the '27 & '26 recruiting rankings recently? Boulware (#1 for '27) is reclassifying to '26, so she was bumped down to #7 for '26 and with that most of our recruits were bumped up. OU has the #1 class for BOTH '26 & '27 now, according to Softball America. That makes 4 #1 classes in a row, I believe. Talk about the future being bright!

Yeah, saw that. Man, this kid has been a lot of drama without even playing a single game yet. I truly hope she finds contentment with this decision and hopefully we will get to face her in 2027!

I saw on SoonerTimes that her mother went to or played for Texas. I didn't realize that.

Now she is saying she has been racially harassed since transferring to Texas.

I've been reading she got pregnant and had an abortion, people are being very cruel on X, but that's not surprising. Plus, her mother was a swimmer at UT, so there's a connection there already. I think we're good without her. It'll have been 2 years since she played or more by the time she can actually hit the field in 2027.

She is going to a worse situation. They have young established pitchers at Texas. OU is still up in the air who might be the pitcher or pitchers.

UT also lost their assistant coach, Singleton, in the off-season, so there's probably going to be some adjusting this season. The way i see it this could be one of their best teams (with this senior class they have), or they could struggle. Don't think they'll be defending their natty this in '26 though. I'll be shocked if Bordi is a factor for them in '27.

Jen Rocha stepping away from team for health reasons. No timeline given.

Well so far offense hasn't been able to figure this pitcher out. Might as well be facing Tech and Canady with as little is our bats have been able to do. Go figure Dayton is the only one that's been able to get a hit so far and everyone else has struck out.

Ya… haven’t done squat…
Thing about softball.. 7 innings so if haven’t done much by 4/5th inning prob won’t.

On top of 7 ko’s by them. This pitcher hasn’t been behind the count once.

Geeze… not disciplined at the plate at all. 8 ko’s in 4 innings. Just now getting 2nd at bats.

8 KOs now. Not a single one of our girls has been very competitive at the plate. Actually, Dayton got a double and minor battled for a bit. The rest of them have been incredibly unimpressive. I knew ASU had a good arm going into this matchup but I thought we'd be better than this. IDK why Milloy got the start at DP I would have gone with barker. Milloy swings it every single pitch, exactly like she did as a freshman.

So milloy gets benched and Barker comes in for her and strikes out anyway. Nelly was able to get on base via walk and stole to get over to third but nothing but strikeouts since and we go into the bottom of the fifth losing 0-1 still.

Parker got on base with a walk and big-bat-Wells knocked it out of the yard!! 2-1 lead

Ya… I was a little worried.. mainly because our vets were not good with the riser. Granted no way I could even be close but I don’t train for that.

Funny even Gasso was saying this pitcher he’s a good riser.

Thankfully we settled down.

That was my point on the quick outs/7 innings… hard to adjust if you only get up twice

Started off better offensively … pitching struggling in first inning

We literally just lost the game because of our crappy pitching. Walk after walk on account of the illegal pitches and then we gave up a grand slam. 6 to 3 lead turns into a 6-11 deficit and counting in the bottom of the sixth in our bats have gone cold so this one's over folks. The two transfer pictures literally gave Arizona runs and lost this game down the stretch. I've never seen a sooner staff look this horrible. If they had maybe put Lowry in after they pulled Parker we probably would have pulled this one out but those two girls flat out aren't Sooners yet and they showed it with their lack of mental fortitude on the mound
