Co-champions it is. SEC just really doesn't want the Sooners to win both titles LOL you would think that there would be plenty of time to fit in a game tomorrow the selection show is tomorrow evening..

Oklahoma will serve as the Conference’s automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament. Per the Commissioner’s Regulations, “In the event inclement weather or other factors prevent the completion of the championship prior to the date and time when the NCAA requires notification for selection to the NCAA tournament, the highest remaining seed in the tournament at the time of suspension shall be designated as the automatic qualifier.” So, I do not know the answer to your question, but maybe he was wrong and was thinking of the auto qualifier from conference to NCAA Tournament. Found this, did not look for copy of rules As both teams were going to qualify for tournament, doesn't seem it is important here in that regard. Co conference champs seems fair.
First time I heard Plank today he was saying if its a rainout, the higher seeded team(us) would be the champions. Was that wrong or did it somehow mysteriously get changed to co champions?

This definitely makes things debatable though. For the regular season for example Texas A&m lost as many games as us and almost won as many games if their Georgia game 3 had not been rained out. I believe they would have swept them and had they done that we would have shared that title with them as well as the tournament title. Who is the better team? The way A&m played Texas makes me think that when Kennedy is pitching for them they are going to be hard to beat by anyone but it's all about matchups in the postseason, you just never know and we also have the best coach in softball history!

I've seen complaints about a potential matchup with Alabama in the Super Regional. Honestly, I figured they would arrange it so we might have to play Nebraska or TT to get to the WCWS. It doesn't really bother me that if we both win, we will play Alabama in the Super Regional. I bet the team was thrilled to see that. Nor does it bother me that they put SEC teams we lost to on our side of the bracket. If we have to play them, it means will be in OKC.

This is getting embarrassing. None of our arms can throw strikes and if they do they are pummeled by Arkansas batters.
I also hate how lackadaisical Nelly has been out there, joking laughing like nothing is of concern to her which is all fine and dandy but when you get up to the plate and you half ass pop it up two times in a row like we don't need your bat that is frustrating! Start acting like you care a little bit out there!
this is lol

So did the committee chair really say aTm was #1 because they beat taco tech? if so they lost to taco tech worse than the score that they won. They lost 2/3 to Arkansas, against whom I believe we are 4-0. They lost to the pumpkin aggies whom we run ruled. They lost 2/3 to Florida. They did win 2/3 from Tenn, but they didn't play Texas except in the tourney. Oregon got the biggest screwing IMHO, 7 losses and they are a 16 seed? And I don't get the love for Florida, getting a lot of mileage out of beating us in two games that were meaningless while losing to us in the 1 that counted for something.

OU lost 3 of the series against the 4 best teams they played. OU didn't deserve #1. OU lost series to UF, Bama, and Tennessee.

OU is #2. They probably could have been lower, and it would have been justified.

We did not lose 3 of 4 of our best series. Texas, Arkansas and South Carolina all clearly better than Bama and Texas and Arkansas are better than Tennessee.

Regardless of their seeding this year, the SEC is clearly on notice of what we will be next year by what they saw in the SEC tourney, to wit: Garcia, Nelly, Barker, Pickering, Parker, and Lowry. Hicks and Milloy didn't play much this year, but look really good. Just need a pitcher or 2.

I think TAMU looked VERY good in the tournament, and their bats were on a roll, so i'm not sure Landry would have contained them, but it would have been interesting to see. Regardless, I think we drew the favorable Super, vs. A&M...Oregon as a #16?! I could see them upsetting the Aggies and making the WCWS easily. If we lost 2 to Bama at home, after losing to them in the regular season I'd be very shocked. That's to say if Bama even makes it to the Supers. Seems like they played their best of the season against us and since then have kind of sucked? There's always some drama with these matchups, intentionally, but looks like a very fun postseason ahead of us!
