If it's news to anyone, 11 or more games will be on ESPN+, including at least 3 B12 road games. Hopefully program success will lower those numbers in the future.
More likely it's because they play more marquee noncon games. Most of our ESPN+ games are noncn games against bad opponents. I would guess we play a similar number of league games on ESPN+ to KU. But it also would make some sense if the best team in the league and reigning national champ gets some preferential treatment as far as having games on actual TV.
They should have put the game against KU that year to win the Big 12 Tourney on there. That is still the greatest team defensive game I've seen at the college level. That KU team had tons of offensive talent, and OU just completely shut them down.
