Spangler was the best guy on the court last night...

He just looks better than everyone doing everything you need to do to win games.

He is a warrior that leaves it all on the floor. He is also a leader, as his example seems to be rubbing off on his teammates.

What a great time to be an OU basketball fan. We have a great group of guys to watch. They have worked extremely hard to improve and they deserve our support, and enthusiasm.

Boomer Sooner!

Spangler might be the best big man in the conference.

I'm a big Spangler fan, but not even close.

Embiid is the best big man in the conference.

I disagree . Embiid WILL be the best big man in the conference and is the best CENTER in the conference.

Spangler is the best PF in the conference and is currently -- at this point in time -- the best big man in terms of game impact.

Spangler isn't near the defender especially at the rim that Embiid is and doesn't have his offensive capability either.

Having said that Spangler makes up for his limitations athletically by working his rear end off and he just has a nose for the ball. The best part is that OU is going to have him for 3 more years and I think his 10-15 foot jumper will improve making him an even bigger weapon.

If you take away Spangler from the OU roster they aren't near as good. As good as our guards are basically one would have to play a big position which would give us many disadvantages in games. OSU is having issues with pretty much not having a big man right now. OU has the best rebounder in the conference on a team full of good young guards.

Woodard and Forte were the second and third best guys on the court last night.

Woodard absolutely out played Smart and Brown. Anyone that cannot see that simply doesn't understand sports. Scoring the most points does not mean you had the best game. Smart and Brown had horrible shooting percentages.

Re: Spangler was the best guy on the court last night...

Markel Brown did some nice things out there other than scoring. As clutch as Forte's shooting was, his game otherwise was so so. But his shooting WAS phenom.

To me Spangler was obviously tops on the floor, but I'd put Brown and Woodard neck and neck at second with Forte coming up behind them.

Oh, and Woodard is just plainly a stud. He is gonna be soooo good in the years to come. It makes me giddy with excitement to be a Sooner fan.

Over the possible #1 draft pick Embiid?

Spangler is very very good (and tough), but Embiid's ability to protect the rim is unreal.

Indeed cool, best 4 year PG we've had since Terry Evans. I just love his game. Very strong, handles, quickness and can hit the three when he needs to...oh and he can pass too. :-)

they need a "like" feature on here so I can like CV's post above

His shooting percentage really hurt OSU.

I agree that Forte is a bit of one trick pony but he is really good at that trick.

I don't know about pro ability. I'm not sure that Spangler will play in the pros at all. But that's not what I'm really talking about in how he is playing.

Spangler had 4 points & 3 rebounds vs that monster KU front line.

Very glad he's ours but it's not fair to compare him to Embiid and Ellis.

there is no doubt that he will have as long of a pro career as he wishes

He is definitely the most valuable player for OU this season. OU could replace Hield or Clark somewhat but not the wrangler.
