According to Big 12 sports stats Spangler is now averaging 9.7 RPG and Gathers is sitting at 9.8. Gathers has struggled as of late due to health and even missed a game which has actually allowed Spangler to be leading the Big 12 in TOTAL rebounds with 262 compared to Gathers 256. I never woulda thought he would have a chance after gathers was killing it on the boards and spangs was going through a mini slump...but now he's right back in it. I would LOVE to see Spangler grab the rebound title in his final year after doing it as a sophomore. What a way to go out.
