I'm not sure mbaye or cousins should be starting.

To have someone say mbaye is one and done is just plain silly. Osby is better than him.

M'Baye is terrible. Can we stop talking about how he's a nba player. At this point, he's not a Big 12 type player. He just stands there in the low post, never makes moves in attempt to get open. He's should not be starting and should get very limited minutes.

I'm sure he's dominating in practice

I for one don't think he is terrible. But he definitely isn't our knight and dh'ing armor like some said he would be. And neither was osby last year. We def over hype guys.

you nailed it. HOpefully people will start to learn their lesson.

Meh, I think Osby was as good as advertised last year, and led people to be hopeful that M'baye would be the same. Obviously that's not the case.

As for the freshmen, none of them actually deserve the minutes they're getting based on on the court production. I'm guessing this is an attempt to prepare for the future. Hopefully it will pay dividends down the line.

Better watch what you say...I've been saying it before the season and some of these guys have crucified me.

Fitzgerald and Clark have taken mental hits b/c of these freshmen and M'Baye starting over them.

First off, people need to quit believing hype and form their own opinions because someone who averaged 12 & 6 at WYOMING shouldn't be expected to be an elite big 12 player. Secondly, he is averaging 9 & 6, a lot of teams would gladly take him as a role/ complimentary player, but when you think someone is gonna be Blake freakin Griffin with a French accent then 9 & 6 becomes " terrible "

What has Clark done previously to warrant that excuse? I would argue Clark is the most disappointing player on this roster given his track history.

Sick of hearing all the old starting lineup bullcrap... News flash: And I repeat.. Last years guys are part of the problem! Fitzgerald=utter and complete bricklayer. Cam with what, one good game? And I know there are some Pledger fetishes on this board, but 0-6 last night was horrific. And besides some, I'll give it to him, clutch 3s... He hasn't set the world on fire by any stretch... So, yes Cousins is disappointing so far, but Hornbeak and Hield show flashes. These guys get a pass with me. They are freshmen, are growing, and deserve a larger body of work. MBaye, not sure what to think... But our vets are what they are.... Personally I think now is the time to insert Hield into the starting lineup, although it really doesn't matter because he's getting starters minutes... Hopefully the ball carelessness will improve....

Cousins routinely gets the nod at the point guard position, but as the game evolves he slowly disappears to obscurity. Same thing with M'Baye and this is critical because Grooms can spell Cousins, but at the post position Osby is the only reliable threat we have at the moment. Pledger has been fairly clutch from the outside, but he needs to be able to take the defender to the hole and dish the ball to one of the post players to help them out. So, he needs to understand that the court contains more territory than the 3 point area. And Hield needs to show a better basketball IQ when it comes to shot selection as he often forces his shots down low with little success except he does get fouled somewhat when doing so.

Do you mean the same Andrew Fitzgerald who averages 6.3 ppg and an impressive 2.9 rebounds while playing 19 minutes per game? Drew was not the problem last night. But the 6 points he scored, while pulling down only 2 boards, wasn't what I would call a game-winning performance either.

Amath is indeed part of the problem, I'll give you that. Surely you know, however, that he is only averaging 4 more minutes per game than Drew. And, please don't repeat your usual observation that Fitz's confidence has been shaken by coming off of the bench this year. College basketball is a big boy's game, he's not in junior high anymore. Besides, there is no way Drew Fitzgerald would use that as an excuse.

As for Cameron Clark, he has had one good game the entire season, against A&M. His defense has been solid in every game. But when he shoots 25% from the field, scores 4 points and snags 2 rebounds, he is a liability on offense. His turnover and subsequent foul in the final minute or two of the game were crucial plays that hurt any chance we had at completing the comeback.

My point is simply this. The returning starters from last year are just as much a part of the problems we're seeing as anything the newcomers are doing. That said, I believe it's time for a shakeup in our starting five, because what we're seeing right now is not working too well. Not that LK gives a rat's rear end what I think. But I would start Hornbeak, Hield and Pledger at the guard positions, along with Osby and M'Baye. Hield and Hornbeak are playing well, Cousins is not. The tools are there with Amath. He just has to play tougher and smarter.

I know for a fact that Fitzgerald and Clark are pissed and frustrated about coming off the bench. Theres your inside info! You can throw out how many minutes they are playing, They're not happy about this situation. And Kruger is proving that what he said about the starting 5 not being set in stone to be a lie.

I know for a fact that you're so biased in your thinking that you are not what I would call a reliable source.

So what if Fitz and Cam are frustrated and pissed? Frankly, I doubt if that's true. But assuming you're right, my advice to them would be, put on your big boy pants and get over it! Life is full of disappointments.

If true, sounds like the team hasn't been eradicated of all the cancers after all. Getting rid of Capel's recruits, and LK bringing in all his own, can't come soon enough..

Than doubt it....I don't care. Hope you enjoy another season with no NCAA tournament...b/c thats where we are heading. And I guarentee, if we don't make it this year, we will not make it next year.

Clark and Fitz are "pissed" they are not starting? I bet the only Big 12 team for whom both would start is TCU. Neither is nothing close to what we thought we were getting when they signed and both have HUGE deficiencies in their game, and frankly, both haven't improved much since they arrived. Fitz has the same deficiencies he had 3 seasons ago and Clark has the same as 2 years ago.

I bet you that Fitz would be starting at the 4 for KU
