Step Back and think

Actually quite the opposite. When you step outside the bubble and objectively analyze trends, causes, effects & likely outcomes life is quite serene.

It's when you build up false hope for unlikely outcomes, rationalizing failures, looking for excuses, that life becomes turbulent.

When it comes to sports & politics unfortunately only 10-15% of the country is able to remove themselves from the homer bubble.

Getting outside the bubble is one thing. Getting outside the bubble and being right is quite another.

I think we went as far as Osby & Pledger could take us. Two seniors who have been on the roster 3 & 4 years.
Agree with this.

This was not 2 years into a rebuilding, this was the final year of the last rebuilding after WW, TMG, & Tiny left us short handed.

Best way to look at it, the last recruiting class was the start, not when Lon stepped on campus.

Next year will be year 2 with the Hield, Cousins, Hornbeak roster. I don't see much improvement coming. People who think Spangler is going to replace Osby are kidding themselves. Hield should be able to surpass Pledger which helps
.
Disagree on the guards, we will be in much better position than we were the last couple years...in all areas. Spangler is not going to replace Osby from a points production standpoint, but defensively and on the glass he will be alright.

But Kruger is 60 years old. His coaching won't improve. His recruiting wont improve. Each year he's 1 season closer to taking his $17 million OU retirement fund back to that country club house he built back in Vegas.

The home in Vegas was put up for sale last week, actually.

We also won multiple road conference games including the first one at WV and at Baylor. WV wasn't very good, but that was a good win for the program at this point in time, and winning at Baylor was a great win, IMO.

I think the young guards are going to be very good in time, and good tourney teams have strong backcourts. This is what Kruger is going to build with is a good backcourt and we will get better. I expect next year to be at a minimum about the same record as this year with a better chance to make noise in March due to our guards being better.

Last night during the game they mentioned Hield was a contestant in a 3 point shooting contest (was it the 3 point shooting contest the week of the final 4?). So, he can hit the long ball, we just need him to find his shot and get better. He will do it.

It was a contest before the season started. Forte won it.

Good thing '83 NC State didn't say, we are just a 6 seed so we only need to win one game.
