Stevie Clark to OSU?

I can't wait til we start getting consensus top 100 players. Anyone think it doesn't make a difference..just look at what those players have done for Baylor and what they are doing for OSU.

Clark is a good kid. Don't see the need to bash him. Pretty lame

I'm not asking if you think he did, but IF Clark took money to play for OSU, do you still think he's a good kid?

My comments are somewhat in jest, but if OSU fans are going to feel the need to come here and gloat, I'm going to have some fun. Simple as that.

Hope you didn't think I was gloating... I'm really not.

I was asking about him because I know there are a lots of very knowledgeable fans here, especially about Oklahoma HS basketball.

I wasn't so much talking about you, no.

The thing is, we don't know if he took money. I could easily say Pledger took money since he's a Capel recruit. Nobody knows anything

If I were an OSU fan I'd be very proud of Ford & Butch. I mean they were able to outbid Scott Drew for crying out loud!

Coming from a school that just got off or is still on probation (I can't remember) this is quite classic.

Why? If anything, the fans of a school that has been on probation would be more likely to recognize probation worthy behavior in another school. Or are you saying that the fans of schools that are on or recently off probation are not allowed to comment on the suspect behavior of another school? How long must a school be off of probation before they are allowed to comment?

I think GIA Stout is one of Napoleon's children that lives in Edmond because mamma Ford is too stuck up to have the nest be in stoolwater (can you blame her?)

Mackie,

I think You just got lob stilly'd.:)

It's nice that this board is here for oswho fans, since they seem to find celebrating the good news among themselves insufficiently gratifying.

It's like Beaver running home to tell Wally he got a B- in gym.

(I'm revealing my age with that reference, though I will say I watched that show in syndicated reruns after school, not when it was still showing in prime time.)

Hells yes.

:woot

That's the spirit! If you're going to "cheat" you should at least get some worthy players. Old Unibrow and Pencil Thin cheated and all they ended up with was a Tiny Gallon sized dumpster fire.

As far as I'm concerned OSU can be the scummiest, cheating 24/7/365 program in the nation. I just want them to have good players.

I also think this is the first player from OKC that OSU has signed since Terrence Crawford.

I always hated the term 24/7/365. It doesn't follow a logical progression.
24 hrs -> 1 Day -> 7 Days -> 1 Week -X-> 365 Days -> 1 Year
Shouldn't it be 52 weeks a year?
24/7/52 makes logical sense. Or 24/365 and just leave the week out of it. If you are doing something 365 days a year, then 7 days a week is redundant.

24/7/365 flows better when saying it verbally, I think. But, I agree with your premise!

Also, I would venture to guess that there's a decent percentage of people who couldn't tell you how many weeks there are in a year and the number might be lost on them. But, I would think almost everybody knows 365.

Who knows? Who cares? If OSU cheated, I hope they get caught...and I'm done caring. Recruiting is a diversion and something to make the offseason interesting, but ultimately it doesn't really matter. I remember being really excited, hoping OU would sign Michael Cobbins and Roger Franklin...why? They are totally unremarkable players.

Clark may be a stud...he may be a disaster...who cares? He goes to OSU now, so I hate him. I don't need him to be selfish, or on the take to hate him...just go to OSU and that's it.

And as far as you OU fans who are talking about "when Kruger starts bringing in a bunch of top-100 recruits", I'm not sure that will happen, or that it matters. Kruger will get guys who can play, and coach them up, and OU will achieve certain levels of success...that will happen. How good? Who knows...but the notion that Kruger will suddenly become a high-level recruiter is uninformed. The guy has never recruited at a high level, not does he possess the characteristics of a guy who will start doing it. In fact, I'd be much more worried about OU cheating if Kruger started bringing in those types.

I've made the point before, but between OU, OSU and UNLV, which school had the best roster? Who has been the best over the last 4-5 years? Who is the best this season? And who had the best recruits? The answer is UNLV all the way up to the last question...if you aren't a top-10 program every year with All-American recruits coming in, then all this hype is irrelevant. The difference between kids once you get outside the elite talents isn't enough to offset the difference in coaching. Butler, Gonzaga, Davidson...they have established themselves as top-notch programs, certainly ahead of anything OU or OSU are doing now. They haven't done it by signing top-10 classes every year.

No sour grapes from me...I would have loved Stevie had he chosen OU, but now I hate him. I have never met the kid, I have no idea what kind of character he has...I just hate him. Just like I hate OSU guys who are from out of state or who never even considered OU. I just hate OSU. Simple.

Not sure why Stevie would want to come to OU at this point, Heild, Hornbeak, Cousins and Woodard means a bunch of competition for PT. I think once we got Woodard, we were pretty much done at the position. Looking forward to those guys matching up for the next few years.

HCLK has has his pg and he fits the system better than a ball hog. JW is a better true pg than Clark. As was mentioned, we weren't going to be greasing any palms.

Only time will tell if Clark is another Lucas or Cezar.
