Stevie Clark to OSU?

Not sure why Stevie would want to come to OU at this point, Heild, Hornbeak, Cousins and Woodard means a bunch of competition for PT. I think once we got Woodard, we were pretty much done at the position. Looking forward to those guys matching up for the next few years.

Clark would be the best PG on this squad right now.

Sorry if I'm way behind, I stopped following this kid months ago when he eliminated us...
What's with all the talk about him asking for money? Is there a solid source on this, or are we just bitter?

Big prospect commits elsewhere..."We didn't want him anyway"...."Rival school cheated to get him"...."We have a better player at that position anyway"......"He's a selfish, overrated player." Oldest message board cliches since the dawn of sports message boards. Will anything ever come of the rumor being thrown around that Clark got paid? Nope. Never.

That might be true if the "he has his hand out" comments didn't start until he committed elsewhere. But that isn't true. They started nearly two months ago. Or at least 6 weeks ago or so. And it's not just from die-hard OU fans.

I followed his recruitment pretty close. I feel like something happened a couple of months ago. If it's not that he was looking for a deal, then it was a massive change in his attitude/personality. SOMETHING happened though.

...always to be followed up by, "yeah people always say those kinds of things, but this time it's different." Then 99.5% of the time, the rumors fizzle and nothing ever comes of anything.

Ahh. So you think the NCAA catches EVERYBODY that cheats.

Gotcha.

Stevie Clark will probably be a really good player for OSU. OU needs a very good big more than they do another point guard. I wish him well. :OU-logo:

I really hate we missed on this kid. I have said since I saw him play as a frosh, he will be a star. Os-who got a good one, and from what my friend who works at Douglas and knows his family tells me, he is a really good kid.

I believe he is the best player in Oklahoma right now, and he will be great before he is finished......

It's a darn shame he'll be a cowboy and we have to play him. That's how I felt about Smart too. But the in state guy that excites me and that we may have a pretty good shot at is 2014 G Omega Harris

HCLK has has his pg and he fits the system better than a ball hog. JW is a better true pg than Clark. As was mentioned, we weren't going to be greasing any palms.

Only time will tell if Clark is another Lucas or Cezar.

It's hard to call Stevie a ball hog when he averages 11 assists a game

I think winner is the more appropriate term. 4 state titles after this year

If I were an OSU fan I'd be very proud of Ford & Butch. I mean they were able to outbid Scott Drew for crying out loud!

Ferguson was the primary recruiter on Clark. I don't know much about the the exclusive details of his recruitment, but OSU was one of the first offers from a top 30 type program.

In the end with both Clark and Woodard, it paid off being in on them early.

On a sidenote I am personally excited about Jordan Woodard, especially seeing how his brother is playing at Tulsa. I recently talked to a coach in the Tulsa area and they told me that NBA scouts like the older Woodard, whose early numbers exceed his high school stats.

I'm sure you think Cousins will shut Smart down too

Thatcher at OSU used to shut down lots of guys that were much better basketball players than he was. I don't know if Cousins can shut down Smart or anyone but a good defensive player can often stop guys that are better players.

Sorry to burst your bubble as much as I will defend OU and the Sooner family I won't deny the fact that recruiting and "deals" happen everywhere so if we're gonna claim Stephen Clark was persuaded via some "incentives" believe that my sources claim that another certain "Clark" in the Sooner family received some "incentives" as we'll and I won't go into the latest recruits.. As for the OSU Clark kid he wanted Baylor bad but Batlor is on the verge of signing a 5 Star kid they are willing to put out a bit more.

You're saying that Cam Clark was illegally recruited? Which of the "latest" recruits are you referring to? If Kruger is cheating, OU should fire him instantly and kick off any associated players. The whole point of having a guy like Kruger is that he runs a clean program. If he's not going to do that, OU might as well hire a guy that's fast and loose with the rules, but wins big.
