Summer trip turned around Cousins' season | The Oklahoman

I'm always amazed at what a year of experience and an offseason can do. Cousins showed flashes of how good he'd be last season, but mostly played out of control. Now he has settled down and become a guy who I am comfortable handling many roles for the team. I don't mind him being a spot up shooter, I don't mind him running point, and I don't mind he being a slashing scorer. Last season I wasn't sure what his role was supposed to be because he couldn't handle any role well. This season, I'm still not sure what his role is, but this time it is because he can handle so many of them competently. In any given line-up he slide into a different role and contribute. Watching players like Cousins develop is a big part of why college basketball is so fun.
