The Aggie pitcher, after a problem with control in the first inning, has settled down. Looks like we are in for the duration, a real old-fashioned pitching duel.

Whew! Parker got herself into trouble by walking the first two Aggie batters, but managed to bear down and retire the side. Still 1-0, Sooners... top of the fifth coming up.

Great mental toughness by Parker. Aggies had loaded the bases with one out, Parker gets out of the inning! Still 2-0, top of the 7th coming up.

Great win for the Sooners! A tough 2-0 win over the Aggies. Both Parker and the Aggie pitcher Rachel Fox really threw an excellent, disciplined game.

On to Tuscaloosa and the Super Regionals!

Parker pitches well. She hit her spots, and they really only hit the ball hard twice: a single center and a line drive at Arnold. They had problems with the rise. It was usually a strike, and they couldn't get on top of it.

We really weren't hitting, except for Georgia. Kady had her worst day of the year, leaving the bases loaded twice and hitting into a double play that killed us in the top of the seventh.

Ellis is becoming dangerous at the plate.

Parker pitched well all day, with a couple of innings where she had some lapses in control. To her credit, she had the mental toughness to bear down and not let it get into her head.

We do need to hit better when we get to Tuscaloosa, though.
