I view the dissappointment with the football loss as a huge opprotunity for the Basketball team. I hope Capel and the guys can have a strong start to the season and get a little more early season support than would be typical.

It sure sucks for Sam Bradford (and Gresham) that he (they) got hurt. I hope both have really fast recoveries.

What do you mean? Are they all jumpin' ship? They won't win a NC but they will still have a good team. Just not what expectations of the fans are....trust me I know all about whacked out expectations by fans. I do think it will be a 3-4 loss season for OU football with what they have back is kind of tough.
If you need cheering up just think about Coach Capel and the boys!

Cheno, you know that we have a minority, but a very loud minority, who find anything less than National Championships to be unacceptable. An undefeated season where we didn't win a championship (improbable but possible) might be somewhat acceptable - but they DESERVE better.

OU has played for the BCS Championship twice with one loss. If they go undefeatedfor the rest of the season they likely play for it again.

I agree they probably would IF that happened....but that team they threw out there on Saturday ain't going undefeated the rest of the year.
OU isn't a national championship caliber team this year. I think they will have 3-4 losses. I may be wrong but they ain't going undefeated from here on out.

All those guys with the exception of Gallon would be great football players. OU fans will bounce back once OU goes on its little run. Stoops always seems to rally the guys after he chokes. I just hope they keep the atmosphere up for these bball visits and someone breaks into Landry Jones's room while he's sleep and cuts the funny lookin porn stache.

The gridiron Sooners are certainly down, but not out by any means. I'm not going to go overboard and guarantee an undefeated run from here on out, but it's certainly not out of the question.

Forgive me for furthering the football infestation on this thread, but believe it or not, there are some die hard Sooner fans that are irrationally supportive of roundball and ovular spheriod ball equally.
