Talking LSU...

When was the last time we won a game in Louisiana?

In 88 we lost vs LSU at NOLA and in 03 we lost vs MSU in NOLA. Those are the only games in Louisiana I remember.

Watch out for Tim Quarterman, the 6’6” junior guard. He has had some really big games in his LSU career.

Funny you say that...OU was in his Top 3 at one point. Once LSU offered, it was over. He's from Savannah, GA (where I reside) and my boss coached him in AAU. He's very talented but could play a little smarter. He can get hot and not miss, and has good length defensively.

It's gonna be a fun game! I trust our battle-tested, experienced team full of veterans.

According to my LSU friends, the LSU team often has top-10 talent, but underachieves since they do not play smart. They always have good players.

I was at the 88 game in New Orleans and was very disappointed that we got beat by ~10 points. Mookie dunked an offensive rebound as the OU highlight of the game

I'd play him like people played us with Blake. Double him almost immediately and make him pass out of it. I feel like we rotate well enough that we'll be able to cover everyone else just by switching.

I'd rather the other Tigers try to beat us then let him get his (like Niang) AND have everyone else contribute.

I saw LSU recently and have the feeling they will give us a lot of trouble especially on the boards and under the basket. Manyang needs some time in this game as we need to keep Kadeem fresh and out of foul trouble.

Ben Simmons has an Oklahoma connection as his dad, Dave, played for my old school, OCU, in the 1980s. Dave also played quite a few games against Ricky Grace, who was a perennial Australian all-star.
