I'm in the gym watching Taylor warm up. Newcastle is about to get smoked.

Well, a team got smoked but it wasn't Newcastle. They won by about 20 pts. I had Taylor with 18 points but I could have been off a little. Newcastle had 2 good players, a center and a wing. The wing hit several 3s in the 3rd qtr to pull away.

Classen looked out of sync. They rushed too many shots and they did a terrible job of spreading the floor. Taylor didn't have the middle open which limited her ability to drive. She made a lot of threes in warm ups but I don't think she made any threes in the game.

I didn't see any OU coaches but I did see a man on the other side of the gym wearing an OSU coat but don't know if he was a coach or just a fan.

Thanks for the report, I'm sure OU has been to see Taylor play... But since no one has seen her at any OU games maybe she's not looking at OU, Sherri can't sign them all. Any Info on the two Newcastle players? Class? Names? How tall was the center?

I'll see what I can find on the Newcastle players. I would guess the center is about 6'2" or so. She is a good athlete and was pretty impressive inside. Good hands, good rebounder, and scorer. I'm not saying she is D-1 good since I only saw one game but she had a good game against Classen.

I think Taylor scored 12 points in the first half. Newcastle built a 15 point lead at one point. Classen closed the gap and at the beginning of the 3rd qtr, got within 2 points. That's about the time the wing for Newcastle hit 4 or 5 threes in a short period of time and they pulled away. But, Taylor had a tough time in the first half because of Newcastle's defense.

I will tell you this soonernorm after watching Classen's post play if I had a child who could play post that would be the ideal school! There inside game is horrible! I believe they are missing two girls and neither are post positions. One really good post player with the guards they have Classen would be a state contender. My opinion.

Probably true, they definitely need post help.
