I sure hope Captain Thompson flashed him that Winner tatoo (and any other intimidation tatics) because the guy is the goods. *sigh*

Game 1: 25 points, 12 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 2 assists, 0 (zero) turnovers

If we can stop TJones then we will only have to worry about Brandon Knight and Doron Lamb *double sigh*

Got to give it up to the kid! Going to be a great, great player.

I have added him to my Xavier Henry-- DO NOT LIKE LIST.:eddie187_jpg_xs:

Gotta admit though, dude can ball.:(

Despite having a DURRRR expression on his face, he's very very very good.

The only way to defend the guy is to foul him.

I don't have the animosity for him like I did Xavier... Though I didn't necessarily like the stares and faces as an opposing fan... But he is also about 10 times better at basketball than Xavier Henry.

He reminds me of Xavier Henry too. Blessed with ridiculous talent, and kind of a dick. He taunted Nick Thompson after every shot tonight. I can't stand him.

He is really good though.

And Liggens or whatever his name is. Jones was the star but in my opinion the difference was that Kentucky had four guys in double figures compared to OU's three.

Don't like him. He's up there with that hot snobby chick in spanish class that never hooked up with me.

After thinking about it some more, he reminds me of Michael Beasley. He may have almost as good of a year as Beasley had at KSU. I expect he'll be one and done. But a lot of similarities. Long lefty that can shoot, handle it and finish inside. Poor attitude. Can be lazy but also can be a beast if he plays hard.

Did anybody see Beasley last night vs the Thunder? I didnt even recognize him with his crazy hair and 55 tatoos. He also looked thin. I wonder if he's lost weight on purpose or if something else is causing it.

The hate on Jones for jawing it up with Thompson is comical, Nick is just as guilty for stirring the pot. Give Jones his due, he whooped Nick's *** up and down the floor, but Jones is going to do that a lot this year to a variety of players.

I just compared him to Michael Beasley, one of the best college basketball players in the last 10 years. I think that would be giving him his due.

As for taunting OU's team captain, you can call it comical if you want, but being an OU fan, I'm never going to like it. Thats just me. And I'm going to enjoy watching Washington take it to Jones while their fans boo him constantly.

Here's a little preview.

LAHAINA, Hawaii -- Whipping the ball around the court, dropping in 3-pointers from seemingly anywhere and everywhere, the Washington Huskies put on an awe-inspiring offensive show against Virginia.

Next up are Kentucky (No. 9 ESPN/USA Today, No. 8 AP) and freshman phenom Terrence Jones, possibly the most hated college basketball player in Seattle.

It will be interesting to see Terrance Ross and Aziz against Jones as well tomorrow.

Washington is averaging over 100 ppg.

Wasn't specifically referring to you. Actually think it's an equitable comparison, even though I think Jones could do a little more to get in shape. Appears a little "soft" right now.

Fair enough, but Thompson has done enough of his own woofing the first few games. Nothing wrong with that, but when someone gives it back to you, need to accept it in stride (which I think he did). As for the the Jones/UDub thing, Romar has already publicly commented on it stating that there is no ill will between him and Jones, he just thinks Jones was confused internally during the recruiting process. We're talking about a guy who was so undecided he would schedule press conferences to delay his decision. UDub's got a nice squad, think they should worry about the guys in purple.

LOL at people thinking Capel and OU was ever going to be able to out pay Calipari and Kentucky for Jones. We simply don't have as deep a pockets as Kentucky basketball. It was going to cost a lot more than the 3 or 4k Gallon got.

Think you're underestimating OU's ability to up the ante for its players. See the sig below.

Perhaps you are right, but there is no way we can out bid Kentucky and it's basketball boosters. Sure, we have some oily's that can splurge, but they usually save their money for football players.

Jones is really good. But defensively, he plays like a freshman. For instance, I was dissappointed late in the game that Davis and Pledger didn't give him a pump fake on the threes. Every shot, Jones jumped at the guy to block it. If they would have pumped faked him and then shot, they both would have gotten three free throws.

He will get into a lot of foul trouble this year.

True.
