Texas may be without Isaiah Taylor against OU

Texas PG Isaiah Taylor evidently hurt his wrist 5 games ago and may not be ready when they host OU on January 5th. If he plays, maybe he will be rusty. He's their leading scorer and playmaker.

I saw the fall he took when he broke his wrist in the Iowa game. The initial report said he would be out indefinitely. Another report I saw estimated his recovery time at four to six weeks.

Since the injury occurred November 21, four weeks would put him back in time for the OU game. Six would be cutting it really close.

I actually believe the horns would have had a decent shot at beating Kentucky if they'd had Taylor in the lineup and healthy. They match up pretty well with the 'Cats in the frontcourt.

Having said that, Texas will have a difficult time with us because of our guard play – that is, if we're playing well and hitting our shots.

He's saying he'll be ready for conference play. Regardless, they're really good even without him.

Don't we have some doctors that participate?

I thought bones took 6-8 weeks to heal but I have zero medical training. Additionally, if your wrist was immobilized for six weeks, I wouldn't think you could play basketball instantly. I would think it would take a few weeks to get your mobility back.

I remember it took Ford about 6-8 weeks to come back from a broken bone in football.
