Texas

It's interesting that someone on this board can criticize OU and be thought of as balanced and objective. Yet, if you criticize Texas or Baylor, it is bashing and based on little information. You know, we have been watching this same Texas propensity now for several years. They keep advertising new lyrics, but it is the same song, second verse.[/Q
skilledserv was simply asking a question and in typical syb fashion you try to play the victim.

I was evaluating Texas/Tennessee from the standpoint of being able to look at them and say "that looks like a Final Four team." Neither of them looks that way to me. We also don't look like a Final Four team. I have no problem admitting that.

I didn't criticize OU.....i don't know what you are talking about ....just gave you the same scenario you said about Texas. I think it's a good question.

Texas took care of Miss. St tonight to give them wins over two top ten teams in the last two games. Miss. St. has a tough defense. We have to continue to improve to get ready for a Texas team that won't go down without a fight.

I agree with Sooner but I caught the first half of the game at my brothers (staring at a burnt orange decorated Christmas tree! Made me nauseous!) and although Texas shows hustle and has speed, they looked flighty. The little pg, Mcarty looked overwhelmed. They don't look in sync at all. Maybe playing their freshman more than most teams would against a tough Miss. St. defense didn't help. I think our offense is better than their defense. If we can hit our shots we will do fine! It will help that Sanders is out. She gave Peyton a hard time last year. I would be most worried about Boyett if she plays like she did tonight. Posts MUST be on!

I think Miss. State's defense makes most teams look out of sync. I do not see how Gabbi can guard McCarty. She is really quick. We have no one who can guard Boyette. Our best hope is if she gets in foul trouble. I'm not sure why they don't play Lang and Boyette together more. They are a matchup nightmare.

The fact Texas beat Tenn. and Miss. St. in back to back games is pretty impressive. If we have 23 turnovers like we did last night, I do not see how we can beat them. We have to be solid on both ends of the court to take care of the horns. Plus, we will have to have more scoring from Maddie and Derica. I have no idea why but Maddie is afraid to shoot the ball. She needs to get over that quickly.

Brooke McCarty is really coming on...Didn't see her overwhelmed at all. A matter of fact she overwhelmed their PG with her defense. Sanders was their weakest link. Now that Texas is becoming really good she sits the bench plus she has a foot injury. She wouldn't have played much if she was healthy...Too many great players all over that roster now.

Is Sanders the girl with red hair?

If so, she really gave us fits in Austin last year. But I really loved watching her play, and especially the way she played with so much enthusiasm.

But I thought - and sort of hoped - that girl graduated.

Yes that's Sanders. Not much playing time for her now though
