Gary,

Thank you for sharing all of your practice observations. I really can't wait to hear what you think about the new guys next season. I hope you have the time to attend again in the future.

I can agree on that. Thanks Gary , I look forward to your reports.

Your welcome. There are many seemingly dedicated and interested OU fans that participate on the message board. I'm happy to pass along tidbits of information to all of those folks that don't have the opportunity to get it first hand.

However, I do it mostly for myself. I'm a "process" guy. It is highly entertaining, educational, and interesting watching Kruger go through the step by step process of building a team and program. As a poker player you understand that winning play is a "process". Hand by hand and day by day results are impacted by the random fall of the cards. I do wish that some of the jerk wad game thread posters had a better grasp of that concept.

Kruger is human. He is not perfect. But, he is an expert in his field. The program took a step forward this year. I too, wish that it could have been a bigger step. It wasn't, but, it was probably bigger than it should have been.

Last season's team was flawed and fragile with a losing habit. They were a step forward. This year's team started the season young and missing some pieces. They took another step forward.

Every tournament team but one will end their season with a disappointing loss just like we did. We have some good players coming back and some new ones that could very well be those missing pieces. I expect another step forward. Maybe a big one.

Definitely. Gary is the man. His info helps keep this board alive.

I would also like to express my appreciation to Gary and to the other who contribute their constructive and interesting parts to the board. I really believe that at least 2 of the newcomers (especially if we add a 4th to this recruiting class) will have a significant impact on next season's team. All 3 guys we have signed so far bring explosiveness, length, and athleticism to help in rebounding, defending the rim, and finishing at the rim. These 3 areas were really the weakest areas of the team, along with containing dribble penetration, IMO. I expect to see a team next season that has a tougher edge to them defensively and on the boards, a team that can score in more ways than this season, and one that will compete at a much higher level at the rim and for loose balls. I'm incredibly disappointed on how we finished the halves of several games and how we finished the season but extremely hopeful for next year.

good thread .. gary we don't always agree .. but your practice info is one of the best things about OUhoops.com

thank you very much

I agree with everyone else, the reports are very informative and keep us all current. Thanks Gary.

I'm glad you started this thread, Denver. I have thanked Gary a number of times the past few months, but words cannot express the gratitude I feel for his efforts and the reports he has made on our behalf. I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that I have looked forward to them each week. I, too, am eager to read what he has to say about our signees when the practice sessions start again.

Thank you, Gary! I hope you know how much we appreciate what you bring to this board. To echo what OUHoops said, you are definitely, "the man!"

Just want to add one more voice thanking Gary for his time and input. Can't wait to hear his reports next season about practices when the new kids show up
