We have all proven shooters plus Walker (whose stroke looks really fluid). The 3s will fall.

I think the key is getting inside-out and having Spangs down there to rebound.

I almost feel sorry for Missouri. They could be looking at some sick shooting. OU will not shoot 25% on the season so they have to Akers up for that bad shooting at some point. I think the Tigers are that point

This is so true. OU shot so poorly for most of the tourney and still beat two tournament teams by double digits and had a chance against the No 2 team in the nation.

Was it pretty? No.

Was it encouraging? Absolutely.

Great ceiling for this group.

Totally agree. We will shoot the basketball much better in the future, especially at home. It is still November!!

BT is right, the shots will fall before long. I pity the competition when the barrage begins. We have more players who can shoot a high percentage from deep than I can remember in a very long time, so believe me, it's coming!

Actually we don't have more than last year. Clark and Neal were both really good three point shooters last year. They may have been the top two in terms of percentages.

I don't know if they will our not. Hield is streaky as hell. Cousins is inconsistent. Woodard can't hit an open three for nothing.
Shoot them when your open but attack inside more and penatrate when possible

We have plenty of evidence that our guards can shoot it. Until they start shooting it in rhythm in the flow of the offense, we're going to keep missing them though. Need to catch and shoot off the pass rather than dribbling into a 3 pointer. Those are low percentage shots ...

Yeah, forgot about them. Cam and Tykler's impact from behind the arc was underrated as well as underappreciated.

We still have more than enough players who can shoot it from three. Spangler has even shown the ability to knock down shots from long range. It's just that the shots aren't falling right now. I think in part that's because our shot selection needs to be improved. Even if a shot is open, it's not necessarily a good shot when it's put up out of rhythm and not in the flow of our offense.

Buddy shot 39% last year. Cousins shot 40% last year. Woodard shot 37% last year.
Those are all good numbers. A significant regression would be surprising. The threes will fall.

Cam and Tyler were our top two 3 point shooters by percentage last year, but combined, they attempted 70 fewer 3s than Buddy did alone.

They were bad looks mostly.. buddy thinks he can do step backs from 3that are contested. Playing with poor bball IQ

While I agree with this, this is also the reason for our ultimate doom come tournament time, if we don't make 3's.

They all were pretty consistent last year. Agree with inside-out - said so in my post...

I honestly think the low ceiling and small venue had a part in the shooting woes. Talk to any shooter, and they will talk about how the different backgrounds can affect your shot to a clear backboard. When you are used to high school gyms and move into a huge college arena? Usually have an adjustment. Same goes for going the opposite way. I think getting back to home we will see them shooting well again.

Keep in mind, as a team we were shooting like 41% from three before the tourney. That is crazy
