The Baylor murderer from 2003 was released on parole.

Idk how murderers get out less than their sentence all of the time.. I was raised believing that if you killed someone, it was like an automatic, you get a life sentence situation (I still believe that's how it should be).

Why did bliss leave ou for smu? Was there any rumblings that bliss cheated at ou too? Idk how bliss got away with no charges at baylor.. did he get in any trouble from ncaa?

I was a freshman during Bliss' last year at OU and I don't remember any NCAA issues.

They made the NCAA Tournament in 1979 (lost to Larry Bird at Indiana State) and had a good group returning in 1980 but had a tough year and then he left. It didn't seem that anyone cared that he left to be honest.

I know it was the best thing for OU because they hired Billy and went on a good 10 year run.

He did 22 years so he's done his sentence. Usually murders are 25 to life his was 10 years additional but you can get paroled before that. I don't know how Bliss didn't get sentenced for something as bad as he tried to conceal the murder and he still believes his bull**** to this day apparently.
