The line on this Nova Michigan game is only 6.5. This is insane, Nova is so much better than these teams.
 
Man Nova is Really above most of the rest as a program. That goes to their coach. Shows us why Joe C tried everything he could several years ago to get him come to Oklahoma and coach our men - even backed up a dumpster of cash lol. Bill Self, that was embarrassing- KU looked like they hadn’t played a game all year WOW.

Lol yeah, Self should be embarrassed for the job he did. Give me a break. Believe it or not, sometimes when a team loses, it isn't because their coach did a crappy job or because their players are clueless, heartless idiots. Perhaps Villanova is simply a great team who shot lights out and played a great game?

Wichita seems to butt heads with me often but you're absolutely correct here. Nova is just a really really good team. Balanced amazingly. Coached well. Executes. Talented.

KU had a less talented team than usual. That's indisputable sorry. Vick usually wouldn't be a guy that got as many minutes as he did. Lightfoot usually wouldn't play either. KU actually overachieved imo, which is usually not the case in March
 
While I expected Kansas to play better than they did Saturday, making the Final Four was a great accomplishment for this Kansas team. Since Larry Brown first took over the program 34 years ago, this year's Kansas team would not rank in my top 20 for best Kansas teams despite their #1 seed. That's a credit to Bill Self whether those at Phog.net want to admit it or not.

If you read my post, I said Nova is a great team. BUT if you are a blue blood and get torched in one of the final two games you should always be embarrassed- a blue blood who just beat the Dukies should actually be IN the game for a while LOL. Self, imo and many on their boards, has underperformed at a university with All the advantages. Nova, known to all, is a fantastic 3 point shooting team and Self should have coached them up a lot better imo to take that away but I didn’t see that in the game I watched.

Nova just made shots. It wasn't that KU didn't do anything. I know people here love to rip on Self as if their getting blown out was all his fault, but Nova just made shots. KU was ready for Nova to shoot 3's, they just all went in. Even Jay Wright made a comment about how they just made everything they shot. Sometimes it happens and good for Nova that it did.

So many people just hate the notion of randomness, that sometimes (in this case) shots fall for 1 team and don't for the other. If Nova shot 50+% from 3, it must be because Kansas wasn't ready, or was poorly coached, or did something wrong. That's just not always the case. Randomness is a thing. Sometimes you can do everything right and still the wrong thing happens.
 
That wasn't even random. Nova was 10+ points better than KU on paper, and it played out that way. Nova is better at every single position than KU, and had a fantastic bench, whereas KU had the worst bench I've ever seen.

Self worked a miracle to get this team as far as it did. It was probably the worst team he's had here at Kansas, and he made the final four with it.

Nova was setting 3 point records before the first half was even over. That game was not usual at all.

And this KU team had more talent than any team Lon has ever coached, so I'm gonna vomit if I hear how untalented this team was. Far more talent than our Final 4 team a few years back. Bill Self if a phenomenal coach, though.

OK, I agree with this. Yes Nova was extra on but many were UNGUARDED, that tells me coaching or stupid players. And IF this was the shortest bench in KU history, then the blame goes RIGHT to Self as He is the one responsible for recruiting and recruiting at KU in b-ball is Easy. So go cry my a river.

Now Self is a Real good coach, BUT he is not a Great coach. This is I believe only his 3rd or 4th Final four at a blue blood program. Nothing to write home there. AND since it is a blue blood program just look at the history, every single Coach there has gone to the final four unless I’m wrong. What I’m saying is that MOST average or above coaches could go to KU and win a bunch and gone to a final four every 4 or 5 years. The great ones go more often than that IMO.
