This is our toughest stretch of the whole season and will have huge implications for our finish in the big 12.

After these three games (WVU, @ISU, @Baylor), we will have only three games remaining against the top 4 in the conference (and two of those games are at home). Morgantown would be the only remaining away game against the others in the top 4. We would have 8 games remaining against the bottom 6.

Kansas State would still have to play Iowa State twice, @Oklahoma, @Baylor, and West Virginia at the Phog.

West Virginia would have to play baylor and Iowa State twice, a road game at KU, and a home game against OU.

If we don't come out 2-1 or better, Kansas is going to have the inside track.

One at a time. The focus is solely on the home game against West Virginia right now. The Mountaineers are in 1st place.

Current Standings

4-0 ... West Virginia (15-1)
3-1 ... Oklahoma (14-1)
3-1 ... Kansas (14-2)
3-1 ... Baylor (13-3)
2-2 ... Texas (10-6)
1-3 ... Iowa State (12-4)
1-3 ... Texas Tech (11-4)
1-3 ... Kansas State (11-5)
1-3 ... Oklahoma State (9-7)
1-3 ... TCU (9-7)

It's definitely starting to look like 14-4 or even 13-5, will win this conference. Protect home court, and steal 4 or 5 on the road---easier said than done, but that's the formula. In spite of all the gnashing of teeth after last night, OU is still right on pace. Of course, there's a long way to go.

It's a tough 3-game stretch, but going 2-1 doesn't give KU the inside track IMHO. I just want to beat WVU at home on Saturday. They looked good against KU and I know it will be a helter-skelter game.

Not for long. OU fans are going to believe and create the most amazing positive attitude for OU and hostile environment for WVU that the LNC has seen in decades. OU is going to be hot and win by double digits.

On Monday, OU is going to be the number 1 team in the country with a darn near unanimous vote

I'm interested to see how WV reacts to now being the hunted. IMO, their warts are going to become more obvious as the season goes on. I realize they beat KSU in Manhattan (in 2 OTs), but I'm not sold on their style of play working consistently in road games. They don't shoot the ball well when forced to play in the half-court and if they don't get TOs, the potential for a significant beating is there. But if I see them win @Tech, @Texas, or even @Baylor, then they have my vote as a believer.

WVU guards went around Frank Mason(Kansas) several times. We had trouble with Evans (OSU) and these guys are quicker.

It will take a great team effort to beat WVU here,

Or just more focus and attention to detail
