could be anyone I think Joe C. will not be looking to break the bank so any big names you hear are probably rumors

So we'll replace one guy that wasn't ready for bright-lights with another? This is getting interesting or sad depending on your perspective.

Sean Sutton is available...so's Eddie for that matter.

I don't think we'd have to break the bank for Gillispie. He's going to be about the best bargain out there with his history.

A former Sooner helps out with the women at Norman North...Al Beal

Look - Terry Evans is NOT ready nor is he right for this job.

We (he) can't recruit to OU the talent that would be necessary to win with his style.

If you want 5 years of butt-whoopins and horrid conference results then by all means...I'd rather we actually progress and win some.

Same could be said about BCG FWIW...see: Kentucky. And IMO if you're using the NCAA violations as cover to fire a guy, you can't be bringing drunken idiots in to coach.

I haven't agreed with many of your posts lately, but this is spot on.

I was just kidding about the Suttons.

BCG's style had nothing to do with the implosion at Kentucky. He wasn't ready for that limelight - and he certainly wouldn't encounter the same intensity at OU.

Heck, 3/4 of our fans barely remember we had a coach past Tubbs vs. Mizzou (the only OU basketball story any of them know).

BCG's style is perfect for this program and he can go into the job with eyes wide open about the rest (and defer more responsibilities than he did at UK).

Many coaches around the NCAA have had DUI's so I am not ready to bury him for that.

I hope and pray we don't get a coach just because he fits a limited budget. This is the chance to do what Joe didn't do before: open up the check book to get the right coach...
