You're an idiot. Anyone who knows anything about basketball saw that the better team won. They executed almost every facet of basketball better than we did. They also played their butts off. They played like the wanted it. Passion+execution=wins. Let's hope this stings all offseason, and the guys come back angry. They can learn a lot from how ND State played.

People don't want to hear that. They won't believe it. Look at their losses. Look at their RPI.

That stuff doesn't matter. They matched up with us VERY favorably. We didn't play great, but neither did their best player. OU has some improving to do.

Can't disagree with much there. Until we learn the importance of defense, better shot selection, and valuing the ball....then this is about all we have to look forward to in the postseason...sigh

You know what they did extremely well? Finish at the rim. That's how you win games when shots aren't falling. The guys have something to work on this summer.

The three that got it into overtime was a bad shot, though. They were lucky it went in. Oh well, those are the breaks you have to overcome with solid execution.

BS. They suck and they sucked. We played like crap and had a 95% chance to win at the end of regulation. We were a 9 seed that overachieved. They're a team that is lucky to be closer to 50 than 100. But it's a Bell Curve, so it's fat in the middle, and the difference between 35 and 70 isn't that big. Probably win 13 out of 20.

I side more with MI sooner.

Ou is the better team, we just made some uncharacteristic mistakes with the lead late. We were basically playing an away game with the crowd, and played poorly overall, and still had the game iced with one more FT.

The bizon don't suck but they aren't that good either. We need to win that game and quite frankly if we can't get to the second weekend next season, I may start sniffin around the Lon being a subpar postseason coach theory.

I mean they'll get beat by 17 to San Diego State, but yea I guess they seemed like an OK team.

Somehow they're going to play the worst game of their lives. I feel like they'll be happy to just have made it to the third round or whatever it's called. Braun will get kicked in the face again too.

I think I'll think of this season this way, Coach K took a team with NO inside game what so ever, poor defensive players and finished 2nd in the Big 12. Thank you so very much.

Why does that not surprise me? If Lon's a good coach in February (and he is). he's a good coach in March.

not close .. we shot 34% and should have won ...

OU was the better team ... as Barkley said that was the first upset of the day

Buddy is the best finisher we have inside which isn't saying much. I tink he is capable of getting in the paint more but prefers to stay outside. Woodard and cousins really need to work on finishing.

Exactly who said NDSU sucked prior to this game?

You guys that think NDSU was per se the better team are nuts. They were better last night. They won the game but it actually went down exactly like I said it would. Prior to the game I said if OU plays a solid game, OU wins. If OU plays good, OU wins big. If OU plays poorly and NDSU play good, NDSU wins.

OU played poorly and NDSU played a good game. Even with that NDSU was fortunate to win. If you don't think OU played poorly consider these things: 1. OU's defense allowed NDSU to shoot above their season average; 2. OU allowed Alexander to have a career day; 3. OU didn't close out a game that was won; 4. Hield and Neal combined to shoot for 15% from 3 point range; 5. OU had two five minutes spells without scoring; 6. OU got out rebounded; and 7. OU's bench did not produce.

I am not taking anything from NDSU. I was impressed with that team but that team was not better than OSU, Texas, ISU, KU, KSU, WVU or Baylor. That team could not bring that effort consistently for a Big XII season.

4. Hield and Neal combined to shoot for 15% from 3 point range;

I'm not really trying to argue or disagree with you, but that stat means nothing when Cousins, Cam, and Woodard combine to go 9 of 13 from three.

As a team, we shot a pretty solid 40% from three for the game. If you are going to argue that Hield and Neal would have or should have shot it better, I'd argue that those other three guys could have shot it worse.

If he and the team continue to build this thing, then the sweet 16 should be the basement for expectations next season.

Lon has us back to a perennial tourney team, but he will have to keep feeding the monster.

I agree the team shot well form 3 point range but those two guys really shot poorly and it was mostly Hield. Neal was fouled on of his attempts. Had it been called he goes to the line and is 1-3 from 3 point range. OU is too young to have Buddy have such an off night.

Did Hield ever score less than 10 points on the season before last night?

3 times now this year including that 1-13 outing when we lost to Tech at home.
