I really don't think we're in shape right now to be fighting a stronger conference schedule.

We need(ed) some lightweights...not the assurance that we'd be getting more games against teams who will kick our tails right now.

Last year at this time we were world beaters ready for the Final four and we fell. Who's to say this year we can't be a team that is expected to fail but wins 20-22 games and makes the tourney. It comes down to effort. I have seen many OU teams with less talent win a lot of games. And besides, 2010-2011 will still be the big 12. the big X doesnt start until the 2011-2012 season

The schedule will be the same next year... If OU is still in bad shape the year after that Capel probably won't be around.

Probably so unfortunately because I really, really like Coach Capel.

I agree with CoolM's sentiments though...this is going to be a kick butt and competitive basketball conference. #1 RPI last year and we got rid of the two weakest teams. As of right now the only easy games are home vs Tech & ISU. Those two are tough at home though.

I'll wait and see if we get punished. If we get nailed by the NCAA we'll have a tough time winning in the Big X.
