Skinnier than I thought. I like his springs and his ability to get up and down the floor (I think both will continue to show up more and more as he trusts his foot).

What do you guys think about him thus far?

Just about what I hoped he would be; somewhere between the Young kid that started for KU last season and Cobbins for OState. I agree about having confidence in the foot. He will get better as he gets more comfortable with it. So athletic and so long.

I like what I see so far. He's not lighting it up or anything, but he doesn't have that confused, deer-in-a-headlight look that some jucos have in the early going. He looks like he belongs.

I like that combination comparison.

I think he has a chance to be really solid. We need him to gain confidence and really assert himself as a helpside defender and on the glass.

He is definitely serviceable, which is a win any time you bring in a JUCO big man.

He reminds me of a Ken Conley type..for those of you who remember him. Prob not as good of a score as Conley, but body type, shot blocking, dunking style, etc.

I've been impressed with the effort he shows in rebounding against taller/bigger guys. And he just looks like he may be able to contribute offensively with put-backs, maybe even hitting a few jumpers.

My thought is that he is good enough that if you had a couple just like him. It would be a nice little rotation. Not many superstars at that position.
