Back up PG?
Scoring wing?
JUCO big?
Best D1 Transfer?

What do you think?

I don't think we'll take a backup pg, b/c that is a role Trier could fill the following year.

I'm inclined to hold onto it, unless something nice falls into our laps late. With the way our program is heading, recruiting should pick up a bit. I'd rather wait and see if we can bring in a more talented kid the following the year.

I'm honestly waffling on it...

Our depth next year won't be much different than this year (basically swapping seniors Clark and Neal for freshmen Buford and Lattin). Our ceiling will be higher, but we will be starting from scratch with these two guys.

Granted, McNeace COULD play if necessary, but it doesn't look like he's ready yet.

If the coaches believe Bennett can increase his strength and contribute more minutes next year and that McNeace is serviceable if we have to use him, I say we hold it OR take a potential high impact transfer that would redshirt next year.

JUCO PG? A Sam Grooms would be great to have on this team.

They want to sign a power forward that can help right away.

So someone to jump Bennett on the depth chart?

Grad transfer that has 1 year to play would be ideal big guy

I didn't say that. But, it should be obvious by now that there is no such thing as seniority or incumbancey on a Kruger team. I believe that they think they need 4 good ready to play bigs to be the team they want to be next season.

Surely McNease can play the 3-5 minutes per game Bennett is playing. Bennett moves to 15 minutes a game. Now all you need to do is replace Cam's 30 minutes a game. OU would have Buford, Lattin and the possibility of increasing Hornbeak's and/or Booker's minutes with a four guard line up at times.

I don't think OU really needs anyone. I think OU is in the position to take a good player if one comes available or save the scholarship for next year.

I really think mcnease redshirts. We'll have plenty of bigs to fill in 2 spots. Spangler can easily go 25-30 mins, Bennett I hope can go 10-15 next year, and Buford and/or Lattin anywhere from 10-20 mins. Even if 1 or 2 of them get in foul trouble I have confidence that they can all play significant minutes if they have to.

My ideal recruit would be a pg transfer that has graduated so he has 1 year left and can play immediately. That way we get some experience at PG when Woodard is on the bench, and we would lost 2 the next year helping to balance out classes.

Definitely need another Big that can play now. I've heard LK mention a couple of times that we were bothered a little by the other team's size. We have depth at guard, not so much inside. How nice would it be now if our two bigs from last class would have panned out ?

McNeace isn't ready. His cross-town rival going to Tech might have been able to contribute.

I am not doubting you, just asking here.
Do you think Trier is a point guard. I see him more as a scoring guard, ala Cousins. I know this year he was ranked #1 pg by one service and maybe he is playing point guard well at his new location.

I could be way off as I know I am in the minority when I say I think Shake is a point guard in college.
Just curious.
