TMG and the team

Had 8 assists, look what happens when his post players finish when he makes good passes to him. I remember one laser passed he had to Ryan in the first half. Just a thing of beauty, imagine what he would've done with Blake last year.

I disagree. Last year we needed a pg that could take care of the ball, get us in our offense, and make the easy passes to Blake. Blake could score it on his own, he didn't need help. Tiny needs help right now, that is why TMG is a better option, despite the turnovers, then AJ for this team. AJ wasn't great at creating easy hoops. Though he did throw the "oop" better than anybody on the current roster.

All jump shooters will have bad nights like he did tonight. I'm not that concerned with the off shooting night. At this point in the season, he may be getting tired. He handles the ball for an entire game, every game.

My biggest concern with TMG is that he often pounds the ball off the dribble too much. My old coach use to tell the PG's that if you are not dribbling to accomplish anything, then you are dribbling too much. Sometimes he just pounds the ball without creating for himself or anyone else. The other guys get flat-footed watching him pound the ball.

I love TMG. As he gets more experience, he will better understand how to control and manage a game. That is why I do not put him above Collins for KU just yet. He has a high ceiling, and will only get better as he gets more experience.

Maybe that is just who he is.

I don't think so, Htown. Steven has been a great three point shooter since he was in junior high. He shot better than 50% from behind the arc his junior and senior year in high school. Nothing about that fits what we have seen from him in the past two months.

Yea. Pledger can play much better than this and he will. It still baffles me about the incident with him and Fitz. That is so uncharacteristic of their behavior. I think he will be a very good player before it's all said and done. BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!

I was referring more to how TMG's assist numbers would be way up given the amount of easy dimes he could've get off Blake and his soft hands. We saw some of what that was like today as Ryan did a very good job of catching and finishing but Blake would've been another level. I can just imagine TMG getting into the lane, the D collapsing on him and him serving up some easy passes to Blake. Something that isn't as prevalent with this team as the big guys this year aren't near as good finishers as Blake was (catching or powering through).

I don't think he shot enough today. I know he missed something like 10 shots but he wasn't comfortable shooting all game. Some of that was Baylor decent D but our big guys weren't intimidated by them when they've been intimidated by everyone elses this year.

This is probably the single dumbest thing I have ever read on a messageboard. Tiny was basically unstoppable inside and then TMG goes to jacking up shots. Early on, it was painfully obvious that his shot was off. He should have kept getting the ball inside.

Oh and it wasn't "something like 10 shots", it was 16 shots. 3-19 and 0-6 from three.

davis shoots too much. Hes barely hitting 30% from 3 point range and he just keeps firing.

Besides the poor effort from 3 point land, he on numerous occasions drove into the paint and refused to shoot the ball but would rather instead drive into a group of defenders and pass off the ball to someone close by who was also covered by a group of defenders as if that was accomplishing something. I don't get it.
