I really need to KU, Michigan State an Louisville to win tonight to make sure I don't end up in last place. Actually I think I am safe from that happen but probably not by much. A lot of us got zero points last night, including me.
I would love to see FGCU win tonight. I doubt they will but it would be great if they did. What if they pulled off the miracle and beat Florida and the KU v Michigan winner? That would be amazing. A 15 in the final four.
Anyone think WSU can beat Ohio State? Ohio State was somewhat fortune to survive the last two games hitting 3 pointers with 2 seconds and .5 seconds left in consecutive games. If I recall they were tied both times but that is still cutting it a bit close.
I think George Mason is the lowest seeded team to ever make the final four (tied with LSU as 11 seeds). It would be great to see WSU and FGCU both make it.
What if Michigan, Michigan State, FGCU and Oregon both win? All four 1s would be out, three of the 2s would be gone and two of the 3s would be gone. The final four would be a 2, 3, 15 and 9. That would probably stand for a very long time as the highest total seeds in the final four. If FGCU makes that will probably set a record for the highest total seeds to make.
Upsets are what make the tournament great. Why did I pick Gonzaga to make the final four? Perhaps an even better question is why did I pick New Mexico to play Gonzaga to make the final four.
Last thought. Syracuse was 5-7 going into the post season. They sure didn't look like it last night.
