Top 4 realistic names

Is it a coincidence that Terry Evans' team advanced last night in their Div2 (I know it's something different now, but I can never remember what the new name is.) playoffs, becoming 30-3, and Capel's firing was announced this morning?

Yes, b/c in ONE season, all of Tubby's recruits left, and the entire roster was Billy's.

8-8 @ the premier program in an average conference is not very good any way you slice it.

Cuonzo Martin is a good up and coming coach but would be similar to when OU hired Capel, coming off of a successful, short run at a mid major with no big time coaching experience.

Any thoughts of Brad Stevens? Not sure if he'd leave Butler but is young with experience at a high level.

I don't think it would ever happen, but I would love to see Mark Few. Good coach.

Flounder -- what are you hearing if anything on the search for a replacement? You said last week you didn't think Boren would ever OK hiring Gillispie. Do you still feel that way?

If so, do you feel that way based on how well you know Boren? Or just a gut feeling?

Booger,
I haven't heard anything. I still think Boren would have issues with BCG's past. That is totally a gut feeling, I have no real insight. It just doesn't fit in with the "culture" of the current OU administration.

Thanks for the info. I know you have some connections to the inner workings of some aspects of the University, so was curious to hear your thoughts.

Buzz Williams would be a fantastic hire, but he's got a great thing going at Marquette. I doubt he's willing to leave that for a reclamation project unless we throw some serious cash at him. I'd be interested in Dave Rose from BYU or Lon Kruger from UNLV, although Kruger is a bit on the old side.
