But if we beat NDSU, I like the way we match up with San Diego State. They are challenged offensively -- and while they're one of the best defensive teams in the country, I think we can still score more than them...

And I think Lon is finally due against Fisher.

I think new mexico state has a good chance to beat them

I only watched San Diego State play once this season. While beating Kansas at Kansas, they looked like a bunch of full grown men with a hard edge. I would be surprised if anyone had an easy time with them.

I've been thinking this way a little. Everyone is giving SDSU the opening round game automatically (and really, the Sweet 16). I'm not sure they won't choke it. Same with Creighton.

Not according to Kenpom. http://kenpom.com/blog/index.php/weblog/entry/2014_ncaa_tournament_log5

However, the predictability of upsets in this tournament is so random some years though. I never thought Richmond would beat Syracuse or Hampton would beat Iowa State or Florida-Gulf Coast would beat Georgetown....and all of those teams were 15 seeds.

Everyone seems to love the 12-5 upsets, but don't be surprised if you see a 13-4, or even a 14-3 upset this year. I just don't know how to pick them.

NMSU is a hard team to figure out - they looked great in Albuquerque against a short-handed Lobo team back in December. But they also failed to win a horrid WAC in the regular season.

They're also pretty mercurial in general. One kid is still suspended for throwing the ball at the Utah Valley player, and their best player (Mullings) almost got suspended for a flagrant foul during the WAC semis.

YeahI think their size could cause a problem for san diego st

I, for one, just refuse to look past the Bison of NDSU. After reading that team's message board this week, I've come to realize that our chances for a win against the shaggy ones are slim at best.
