At Tech

Home vs TCU

tough to go 2-0. Tech’s Culver kid is really good. Must limit him to have a good chance.

As always, need to win the home games and steal a few road games. Next 5 games ...

Tues .. Jan. 8: at Texas Tech, 8 p.m.
Sat ... Jan. 12: TCU, 1 p.m.
Wed .. Jan. 16: Kansas State, 6 p.m.
Sat ... Jan. 19: at Texas, TBA
Wed .. Jan. 23: at Oklahoma State, 8 p.m.

Just win your homes

yup...thinking 3-2

W - tcu ksu osu
L - ut tt

If there are any switching...maybe tcu/ut.

Anything is possible with this team...I would EXPECT at least 1 win for sure - ksu.

osu is the next "easiest"
ut/tcu are almost a wash due to home vs away

Obviously tt on the road is the toughest.

Does anybody know when the TX game time would be announced?

I know in football it is never less than 6 days before. Is there a similar rule in basketball?

I WANT to expect a win against KSU but they've had our number in a big way in the last 5-6 years.

Sorry, was referring to the game in Austin. Yesterday it said TBA but today it shows as 7 pm. Thanks for your help Boulder!

In Manhattan, mostly. We're 4-6 against them over the past five years, and they've won in Norman only once--an OT win in 2015.

The only time I have been to a basketball game at Kansas State was February 6, 2016. This was during OU's Final-4 season. At the time of the game, OU was ranked #1 and KSU was not ranked. K-State won that day 80-69.

There is a big home court advantage at Bramlage Coliseum, as the KSU fanbase are fanatics over basketball. Because of the fans, Manhattan is a fun place to go watch basketball. Since Lon has been at OU, Lon is 6-8 against KSU.

I was thinking Coach Kruger had never won in Manhattan during his tenure at OU, but I was wrong: We won there his first season at OU, but never since.

I've been there three times -- the first time (2001), OU won in OT, but let's just say I was lucky to get out of the building alive! I was also at the 2016 game you mention, and last year's debacle. I vowed after last season's game that I would sit this year out because I don't think I can handle another long, sad drive home. KSU has weird fans -- they have several games each year when their fans are great and pack the place, but they also have games where the place isn't close to full and it is not all that loud. They definitely show up for KU and any other highly ranked teams. Going back 30+ years, the Sooners rarely play well up there.

Good news...

we play ksu in Norman!

It depends on Stokes and if he's 100% by then. I still think we will win...
